Hernia is one of universal diseases in the world. Hernia is not only a disease that happens to the old people, but also the children and adults. Nowadays, millions of people are attacked by hernia every year. The hernia disease can not be self-healing. The people’s life will be threatened if they don not cure it. Tension-free hernia repair surgery make use of false body replace defective local organization which is in keeping with normal physiology dissection. In addition, tension-free hernia repair surgery has no suture tension, less damage for body, the patients are no need to limit physical activities. It is less pain and recover more quickly for the patients. What’s more, the incidence rate of complicating disease is lower and the recurrence rate of hernia is lower as well. Actually, tension-free hernia repair surgery has already been used in many hospitals in our country. It is worth to mention that the demand for hernia mesh is increasing with years. However, the technology of research and development of hernia is far behind developed nations such as the United States, France, the Netherlands, Italy and so on. The price is fairly expensive for importing these hernia meshes from these developed countries. Most common people in our country are not rich. It is very hard for them to afford that high expense.Based on the current situation and the reasons given above, we have to research and product our own hernia mesh to break the phenomenon that advanced science and technology from abroad is monopolistic status. We need to product the hernia mesh which is not expensive and high quality to meet the demand of the patients from our country. Thus, making exploiture for Polyvinylidene Fluoride hernia mesh is very significant. Hopefully, it is successful to research and product Polyvinylidene Fluoride hernia mesh production which is high performance and low price. Before this research, some researchers have already done some researches in this field.In addition, they gained some useful results and experience. However, domestic firms only can product polypropylene hernia mesh. There are no results and productions about Polyvinylidene Fluoride hernia mesh. Therefore, this study is dedicated to the research of Polyvinylidene Fluoride hernia repair materials. It is very crucial to make the volume-produce of Polyvinylidene Fluoride hernia meshes come true.This study has done the comprehensive analysis for the structure of the domestic and international hernia repair material, which could draw a conclusion that three needle opening warp satin structure, big mesh structure, velvet chaining structure, the satin chaining structure, the satin and miss-lapping composite structure are suitable for the preparation of hernia repair materials. The study gets some results as follows through designing the structures and testing the performance for monofilament, single material mesh and composite mesh of Polyvinylidene Fluoride and polypropylene and synthesizing orthogonal test data and analyzing the range. The monofilament of Polyvinylidene Fluoride is thicker than the monofilament of polypropylene. The time dependence of monofilament of Polyvinylidene Fluoride is better than that of the monofilament of polypropylene. The tensile property of the monofilament of Polyvinylidene Fluoride is very similar to that of the monofilament of polypropylene. Both of them have very good tensile property. But the uniformity of monofilament of Polyvinylidene Fluoride is worse than that of the monofilament of polypropylene. Heating temperature of 140℃, setting time of 5 minutes or 10 minutes, intermediate tension can make the mechanical properties of PVDF mesh reach preferable behaviour. The weight per square meter, density and thickness of PVDF mesh are not far from those of PP mesh. The porosity of PVDF mesh is less than that of PP mesh. The bursting strength of PVDF mesh is better than that of PP mesh. The breaking strength of vertical direction of PVDF mesh is better than that of PP mesh. But the extensibility of vertical direction of PVDF mesh is worse. The bending rigidity of PVDF mesh is less than that of PP mesh which shows good softness. The laddering after drawing strength of PVDF mesh is worse than that of PP mesh. The elastic recovery rate of vertical direction of PVDF mesh is better than that of PP mesh. The composite material that PVDF is located in front guide bar is thicker and heavier than the composite material that PP is located in back guide bar, Elastic recovery rate, tearing performance and wear-resisting property as well.
