With the development of dental root canal therapy technology, residual roots after appropriate treatment can be preserved for a long time. One of the most effective means of root restored post- core crown technique has been widely used in clinical practice. However, due to the different material properties, form and production methods of post and core, its mechanical properties are also differences, the scope of application of the technology and treatment are not the same. In clinical practice, the choice of post and core is usually determined by the treatment experience of doctors, and the lack of the corresponding theoretical basis. So, study on stress distribution of various post- core crown restoration has been prosthodontics and oral biomechanics research focus. To study the effects of various parameters on the restorative effects of maxillary central incisor, such as post materials, binding materials, diameter and length of post etc, The three-dimensional finite element model of the maxillary central incisor post- core crown restoration is established by using CT technique, Mimics,Geomagic Studio, Pro/E software and Ansys workbench, the model includes cast porcelain crowns, root, pile, core and adhesive resin etc. The finite element analysis of the model is carried out under different parameters. Through the analysis of the stress distribution of the main components, the conclusion is drawn:(1)With the increase of the angle between the applied load and the long axis of the tooth, the stress value increases gradually. The use of glass fiber post and resin adhesive as the post core crown restoration material will get better restoration effect.(2)In contrast with the other dimensions,1.5mm diameter pile can achieve more good lasting repair effect. When the length of the pile in the root canal is 2/3 root length, the maximum stress value prosthesis is effectively controlled preferably, repair teeth can get a better retention effect.(3)The stress distribution of the prostheses was significantly affected by different loading positions. When the bite is located at the neck, it is likely to cause damage to the binder.Through the analysis and research of the post-core crown restoration scheme of the maxillary central incisors, the stress variation law of the restoration and the reasonable repair scheme are obtained. It provides a valuable theoretical reference for oral doctors.
