Part two:a public questionnaire survey is made to population over 60 years old with main contents of awareness of Chinese Senior Citizen Dietary Guidelines and "Chinese senior citizen balanced diet pagoda", understanding of elder population nutritional diet common sense and incorrect cognition of elder population nutritional diet.Field questionnaire surveys have been made in Beijing, Langfang and Huludao with total questionnaires of 314 and 20 prefecture-level cities are selected as a supplement for internet surveys. Field survey places include Jingshan Park, Olympic Forest Park, Yuyuantan Park in Beijing, Fumanyuan Community, Xinghe Haoyue Community and Chaobai Renjia Community in Yanjiao Development Area, Langfang and Local Taxation Bureau Community, Gongyuan Community, Jinsui Phase//in Suizhong County, Huludao.Research resultsProfessional questionnaire survey results show that 157 questionnaires are collected in total 212 with 114 valid ones after data entry screening. For example, someone doesn’t know Chinese Senior Citizen Dietary Guidelines but mark it with source. In the 114 relevant management of senior citizens who participate in the survey,43 people work on public health as the largest quantity taking up 38.39% of total; 28 people work on clinical medicine taking up 25%; 12 people work on food science taking up 10.71% and 29 people work in other fields taking up 25.89%.In summary, even though awareness rate of relevant management of senior citizens on Chinese Senior Citizen Dietary Guidelines is not good with only 46.43% awareness and 53.57% never knowing existence of the guidelines, fortunately, people who know it learn it in different ways with main sources of internet, conference and books and minor source of TV.Public questionnaire results show that 221 valid questionnaires are collected. Invalid ones are caused by incorrect residential addresses and invalid answers which don’t follow guides of questionnaire. For example, someone doesn’t know Chinese Senior Citizen Dietary Guidelines but mark it with source.Meanwhile, we also find that family’s monthly income of people over 60 years old is not high due to social causes. Educational level of them is junior high school on average. Hence, even if they learn nutritional diet common sense through effective health education, their dietary structure is hardly adjusted for the above two reasons. n surveys,59.28% of participants are 60-64 years old,25.79% is 64-69 years old, 11.31% is 70-75 years old and only 3.62% is over 75 years old. Moreover, we find that few aged people over 75 years old can cook by themselves in the surveys and most of them need food offered.Research conclusionsAccording to current researches, reasonable nutritional diet is a significant tool for prevention from senile diseases. However, in China, awareness and application of senior citizens on nutritional diet are not good. Based on practical experience of other countries, higher authoritative application guides need to be released because elder population is poorer than young people on acquisition ways of knowledge. Chinese Senior Citizen Dietary Guidelines is extension of Dietary Guidelines of Chinese Residents and the most authoritative reading material for guiding nutrition of the aged in China. Cognition and application of the Guidelines could reflect attitude and behaviors of the aged on nutrition intake. As a result, update and promotion of Chinese Senior Citizen Dietary Guidelines and "Chinese senior citizen balanced diet pagoda" are quite necessary.
