| Nurse scheduling is a complex problem, the hospital continued to study how to improve the efficiency of the scheduling, optimize nursing manpower allocation, reduce hospital operating costs. At present, in foreign countries nurse informationization scheduling develop increasingly mature and achieve remarkable results, but in the domestic, it still in the exploratory stage. Therefore, nurses need to develop nurse informationization scheduling software, which is suitable for the status quo and future development needs. But the most important part that nurses could participate in is designing the functions of nurse informationization scheduling software. It will lay a foundation for software programming and application. However, it is based on the status of the nurse scheduling and a full analysis on the relevant factors and constraints.In order to solve the above problems, this study from the following two parts:1.The investigation of nurse scheduling status quo.2.Study on the functions of nurse informationization scheduling software.Part I:The investigation of nurse scheduling status quoObjective:Investigate nurse scheduling status quo to analysis problems and put forward the countermeasures.Methods:Using literature analysis, the research group discussion and pre testing to determine the nurse rostering survey form, including:nurse scheduling right, scheduling cycle, scheduling shift, work time, frequency, each shift to the number of nurses and qualification requirements. In addition, collecting the duties and the scheduling example.Results:1. Nurse scheduling rights is entirely for decentralized scheduling, i.e. the head nurse.2. The 34 departments (85%) using a weekly scheduling cycle.3. A total of 115 kinds of scheduling shift in the hospital, including 85 kinds of special scheduling shift for 74% of the total number,30 kinds of other scheduling shift for 26% of the total number.4. There are 99 kinds of working time, but a few kinds of the normal daily working time is more than 12h.5. According to incomplete statistics, the species of expression way of non-working state is at least 27.6. The shape and color of symbol are different in scheduling table.7. The elements of scheduling table in each department are not identical, especially in the in-patient departments and out-patient departments.Conclusions:1.Combined with the scheduling rights, unified the form to collect the individual needs of nurses.2.Encourage departments to use every 2 weeks and monthly scheduling cycle.3.After taking measures,there are a total of 102 kinds of scheduling shift, including 77 special scheduling shift and 25 other scheduling shift.4.Cancel the scheduling shift that the work time is more than 12h.5.Unified the expression of the vacation,the total is 14.6.Develop a unified symbol in scheduling table.7.Set up a unified, comprehensive scheduling template for in-patient departments and out-patient departments.In short, there are many problems of nurse scheduling situation,such as it lacks of standardization. So nursing managers must have attention with these problems and take measures.Part II:Study on the functions of nurse informationization scheduling software.Objective:On the basis of part I, analysis the relevant factors and constraints about nurse scheduling to design the functions of nurse informationization scheduling with information department, which is lay a foundation for developing the software.Methods:Using literature analysis, focus group interview to design the functions of nurse informationization scheduling software.Results:The functions include:basic information, the nurse scheduling function, human resource allocation, statistical queries, system Settings, messages notifications and alerts.Conclusions:The design of functions of nurse informationization scheduling software is in accordance with the current situation of hospital nurse scheduling and future development needs. It provides the precondition for programming and applying software. |
