Sartobind Q was compared to Sepharose DEAE and Sepharose Q on their effect on removing Vero cell DNA,the recovery rate of the purifications with these three ion exchanger mediums were also tested.Sartobind Q displays a microporous structure with larger pore size. Ligands for ion exchange are bound covalently to the complete internal surface of the membrane, resulting in separation media of high binding capacity combined with very high flow rates. Binding of ion exchange ligands is very stable and allows many cycles of re-use without loss of binding capacity. Sartobind Q was compared with Sepharose DEAE and Sepharose Q, on their capability of removing Vero cell DNA,by employ Sartobind Q,the residue of Vero cell DNA was depressed to 0.01-0.1 ng/ml, it’s much better than Sepharose DEAE and Sepharose Q, further more, Sartobind Q keeps desired recovery and residue under the high flow rate.The experimental verification shows that Sartobind Q is superior to Sepharose DEAE and Sepharose Q on Flow resistance, antigen recovery, especially on removing Vero cell DNA,is well-founded to be used in the purification of rabies vaccine.
