Objective:To describe the spatial distribution characteristics of hypertension and diab etes among adults in Jilin province, understanding the prevalence of hypertensio n and diabetes by region, looking for the hot areas. Through analyzing the rela ted risks factors of hypertension and diabetes on hot areas to provide evidence s for making priority areas and targeted prevention and control strategies. Methods:Based on reported data of hypertension and diabetes cases in Jilin province from 2012, the characteristics of the distribution of hypertension and diabetes were analyzed using geographic information system, the related risks factors of hypertension and diabetes on hot areas were analyzed using IBM SPSS(Version 21.0).Statistical analysis of the cases of spatial database by Arc GIS10.2.Through different color gradient to express the prevalence of hypertension and diabetes, forming the visual spatial distribution map of hypertension and diabetes.Logistic regression analysis were used to test significant determinants of hypertension and diabetes.Results:1. Hypertension in the Jilin province occurred mainly in the west district Baicheng and east district Yanbian in ethnic autonomous prefecture. The two regions hypertension prevalence rate is higher. Hypertension spatial distribution map display, the areas of low prevalence of adult mainly aggregated in central region Changchun and Siping. The global spatial autocorrelation analysis indicated that the hypertension prevalence rate was negatively correlated(Moran’s I=-0.41076, Z=-2.685, P=0.007). The local spatial autocorrelation analysis indicated that Yanji, Longjing and Tumen crossing the remarkable hotspots for hypertension(Z(Gi*)>1.96,P<0.05),district of Changchun city, Jilin city, Yong Ji County, Panshi and Manchu autonomous county of Yitong form the significant cold spot areas(Z(Gi*)<-1.96,P<0.05).2. Through analyzing the related risks factors of hypertension on hot areas, the multivariate Logistic regression indicated that higher age group 35~44years old had higher probability of hypertension than age group 18~24 years(OR=4.842, 95%CI:1.819~12.886); age group 45~54years old had higher probability of hypertension than age group 18~24 years(OR=8.566, 95%CI:3.230~22.660); age group 55~64 years old had higher probability of hypertension than age group 18~24 years(OR=13.544, 95%CI:4.273~42.935); age group 65~79 years old had higher probability of hypertension than age group 18~24 years(OR=18.002, 95%CI:5.343~60.657);Manual workers and retirees were risk factors for hypertensio n. Manual workers had higher risk of hypertension compared to mental worker s.(OR=1.556, 95%CI:1.001~2.423);retirees had higher risk of hypertension comp ared to mental workers.(OR=2.395 95%CI:1.295~4.429); Cigarette smokers had higher risk of hypertension compared to non-smokers(OR=1.882, 95%CI:1.267~2.797); With a family history of circulatory system disease had higher probabili ty of hypertension than no family history of system disease(OR=1.916, 95%CI:1.347~2.726); The likelihood of hypertension increases with BMI. Overweight(OR=1.643, 95%CI: 1.147~2.354) and obesity(OR=2.492, 95%CI: 1.445~4.296) were risk factors. Dyslipidemia patients had higher probability of hypertension t han no dyslipidemia(OR=1.505, 95%CI:1.072~2.112); Underweight(OR=0.148, 95%CI:0.032~0.673) and sometimes physical exercise(OR=0.613,95%CI: 0.402~0.933)were protective factors.3. Diabetes spatial distribution map display, diabetes in the Jilin province occurred mainly in the Liaoyuan district, the areas of low prevalence of adult mainly aggregated in Jilin city. The global spatial autocorrelation analysis indicated that the diabetes prevalence rate was negatively correlated(Moran’s I=-0.615220, Z=-4.978164, P<0.001). The local spatial autocorrelation analysis indicated that Siping and Meihekou crossing the remarkable hotspots for hypertension(Z(Gi*)>1.96,P<0.05),district of Jiaohe and Dunhua form the significant cold spot area(Z(Gi*)<-1.96,P<0.05).4. Through analyzing the related risks factors of diabetes on hot areas, the multivariate Logistic regression indicated that middle age group had higher probability of diabetes than young people(OR=2.584,95%CI:1.064~6.278);Males had higher risk of diabetes compared to females(OR=2.587, 95%CI:1.359~4.925);Meat-based meal people had higher probability of diabetes than meat and vegetarian dishes matching in the diet people(OR=2.995, 95%CI:1.093~8.233);With a family history of diabetes had higher probability than no family history of diabetes(OR=5.318, 95%CI: 2.655~10.654);monthly income 2000~3000(OR=0.204,95%CI: 0.054~0.762)and sometimes physical exercise(OR=0.297,95%CI: 0.127~0.695)were protective factors.Conclusions:1. The global spatial autocorrelation analysis indicated that the hypertension prevalence rate was negatively correlated. The local spatial autocorrelation analysis indicated that Yanji, Longjing and Tumen crossing the remarkable hotspots for hypertension. These areas can be used to provide priority areas and targeted prevention and control strategies. District of Changchun city, Jilin city, Yong Ji County, Panshi and Manchu autonomous county of Yitong form the significant cold spot areas.2. Diabetes spatial distribution map display, diabetes in the Jilin province occurred mainly in the Liaoyuan district, the areas of low prevalence of adult mainly aggregated in Jilin city. The global spatial autocorrelation analysis indicated that the diabetes prevalence rate was negatively correlated. The local spatial autocorrelation analysis indicated that Siping and Meihekou crossing the remarkable hotspots for hypertension. These areas can be used to provide priority areas and targeted prevention and control strategies. District of Jiaohe and Dunhua form the significant cold spot areas.3.Through analyzing the related risks factors of hypertension on hot areas, increasing age, manual workers and retirees, the family history of circulation system disease, smoking, overweight, obesity and dyslipidemia were risk factors of hypertension among residents; Underweight and sometimes physical exercise were protective factors of hypertension. Males, middle-age, Meat-based meal people, the family history of diabetes were risk factors of diabetes among residents; monthly income 2000~3000 and sometimes physical exercise were protective factors of diabetes.
