Study On Compound Preparation Of Traditional Chinese And Western Medicine Preparation Defects And Suggestions

As a special item of Chinese drug category, Chinese-westerncompound preparation has a history dating back to the middle of 19th century. Limited by the poorness in basic research, blindness in formulating,insufficiency in clinical evidence and imperfection in drug management regulations from the beginning, the existing Chinese-westerncompound preparation has always had an underlying risk in practical application. This paper first builds a database based on statistics from basic information of already marketed Chinese-westerncompound preparation, ranging from quality standard, medicineinstruction, essential drug list, medical insurance list to OTC list. And then performs an analysis on the database with the concern of applications related to different areas from respiratory drug to cardiovascular drug, Digestivedrug and inject’on. And at the end, suggests some improvementapproachesand advices on four aspects such as enforcement in basic research, elevationin quality standard, standardization in medicineinstruction and completion in management regulations.Besides introduction and conclusion, this paper includes another seven cha pters.
