Objective:Through evaluating the analgesic effect of acupuncture for chronic stable angina pectoris by acupoints along meridian with location differentiation and non-acupoints by the use of standard clinical randomized controlled trials to provide some clinical evidence for acupuncture analgesia. Methods:Multicenter (five clinical centers) and randomized controlled trial was used in this study. Patients with chronic stable angina pectoris were divided into groups via central randomization as acupoint group, non-acupoint and waitlist group, the same basic treatment was used in all patients. Both acupoints and non-acupoints were selected in two sides and used electroacupuncture (EA) as the intervention. EA treatment was 30 minutes a time, and three times a week, in total of four weeks. Before the treatment the condition of all patients would be evaluated as the baseline, after treatment the therapeutic effect of all patients were evaluated immediately, and followed-up it 3 times which timespan was four weeks. The efficacies mainly included the attack frequency of angina pectoris, VAS score,6MWT, SAS, SDS and the incidence of cardiovascular events.Results:1.268 patients met the inclusion criteria were recruited, they were randomly divided into three groups, excluding the loss and eliminate cases,243 cases were included in the analysis,79 patients in acupoint group,82 patients in non-acupoint and 82 patients in waitlist group.2. From the 8 weeks after intervention, there were significant difference in the frequency of angina, VAS,6MWT, SAS, SDS compared with the beginning in acupoint group and non-acupoint (P<0.05).And there was cardiovascular event occurs.3. There were significant differences in acupoint group compared with non-acupoint and waitlist group (P<0.05).While there was no difference between non-acupoint and waitlist group (P>0.05).Conclusions:1. Acupuncture combined with medicine for chronic stable angina pectoris is efficacy and safety, especially the analgesic effect is obvious> it can reduce the frequency of angina and relieve the pain significantly.2. The efficacy of acupoint is significantly different from non-acupoint and waitlist groups, and the differences started after needling and lasted till the end of the follow-up.3. Acupuncture combined with medicine has a multi-level efficacy for chronic stabale angina pectoris, besides relieve the pain, it can also reduce the use of acute medicine and improve the exercise tolerance and emotion.
