Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect and security of the different formulations for Aifu nuangong wan(boiling powder of traditional Chinese medicine and traditional decotion pieces) in treating primary dysmenorrhea (syndrome of blood deficiency and qi stagnation, deficiency cold of lower energizer). To provide the basis for clinical application of boiling powder of traditional Chinese medicine through the clinical trial.Methods:53 patients suffered by the primary dysmenorrhea (syndrome of blood deficiency and qi stagnation, deficiency cold of lower energizer) were selected, randomly divided into boiling powder of traditional Chinese medicine group and traditional decotion pieces group with positive control method. The boiling powder of traditional Chinese medicine group wered treated with boiling powder of Aifu nuangong wan, traditional decotion pieces group wered treated with decotion pieces of Aifu nuangong wan,for 3 consecutive menstrual cycles. The clinical symptoms and signs related curative effect data and security analysis of two groups wered observed both before and after treatment.Results:(1) Dysmenorrhea analgesic effect:For boiling powder of traditional Chinese medicine group cure rate(CR) was 10.0%, the evident cure rate(ECR) was 60.0%, the total efficiency rate(TER) was 96.7%; traditional decotion pieces group CR was 10.0%, the ECR was 55.0%, the TER was 95.0%.There is no significant difference between two groups by the analysis of SPSS19.0(P>0.05).(2) TCM syndrome effect:For boiling powder of traditional Chinese medicine group CR was 6.7%, the ECR was 70.0%, the TER was 100%; traditional decotion pieces group CR was 5.0%, the ECR was 65.0%, the TER was 100%.There is no significant difference between two groups by the analysis of SPSS19.0(P>0.05).(3) The VAS score effect of dysmenorrheal:For boiling powder of traditional Chinese medicine group CR was 10.0%, the ECR was 53.3%, the TER was 100%; traditional decotion pieces group CR was 10.0%, the ECR was 45.0%, the TER was 100%.There is no significant difference between two groups by the analysis of SPSS19.0(P>0.05).(4) Two groups of TCM syndrome total score, VAS score, the duration of dysmenorrheal, each symptom scores,CMSS scores has statistically significant differences between before and after treatment by the analysis of SPSS19.0(P<0.01).(5) Two groups of TCM syndrome total score, VAS score, the duration of dysmenorrheal, each symptom scores,CMSS scores before and after treatment changes in the value of the control group showed no statistically significant differences by the analysis of SPSS19.0 (P>0.05).(6) Two groups of patients in the follow-up period were not the use of painkillers and other drugs.(7) Safety results:the process of clinical trials, no adverse drug reactions were observed in patients. Conclusion:Two formulations for Aifu nuangong wan(boiling powder of traditional Chinese medicine and traditional decotion pieces) in treating primary dysmenorrhea (syndrome of blood deficiency and qi stagnation, deficiency cold of lower energizer) is safe and effective, there was no statistically significant difference in the efficacy of the two groups. The boiling powder of traditional Chinese medicine in the decoction time was shorter than traditional decoction pieces, more convenient to use, it is worthy of Clinical application.
