Objective : To investigate the relationship between the level of fibroblast growth factor 23(FGF-23) and vascular calcification, calcium phosphate metabolism in maintenance hemodialysis(MHD) patients;Comparison of the two kinds of hemodialysis methods for hemodiafiltration(HDF)and Low-flux hemodialysis( LFHD) in the FGF-23,so as to further understand the advantages of HDF in reducing the complications of patients with end-stage renal failure. Methods: 35 subjects with end-stage renal failure selected to take hemodialysis at Wujiang people’s Hospital in 2014 were observed in the correlation of the FGF-23 level and vascular calcification, and indexes of Hb,Alb, LDL, Ca2 +, P3-, iPTH and so on. At the same time, the above 35end-stage renal failure patients were divided into LFHD, HDF two groups, compared with LFHD and HDF to FGF-23. Furthermore,10 cases of health examination in our hospital were selected as the healthy control group, with their age, sex, and levels of Hb, Alb, LDL, Ca2 +, P3-, iPTH, FGF-23, etc.well-documented.Results:(1)Compared with healthy people, FGF-23 was significantlyhigher, and there was a significant increase in calcium and phosphorus metabolism, anemia and low serum albumin, etc.(2) FGF-23 related factor analysis showed that FGF-23 was positively correlated with Ca2 +, P3-, PTH,Hb(P<0.05), and had no significant correlation with ALB and vascular calcification(P>0.05).( 3) There was a correlation between iPTH with vascular calcification(P<0.05).(4)FGF-23 levels were decreased before and after LFHD、HDF(P<0.05);compared with HDF and LFHD, the effect of on FGF-23 was not significantly different(P>0.05).Conclusions:(1)The level of FGF-23 in peripheral blood of patients with hemodialysis was significantly higher, which was closely related to the metabolism of calcium and phosphorus.(2)This study has not found a directly correlation between FGF-23 and vascular calcification in patients with hemodialysis.(3)HDF and LFHD can remove blood FGF-23, but the effect of HDF and LFHD on FGF23 were no significantly different.
