Objectives:To investigate the clinical features of Tigecycline-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (TRAB) and control methods. Methods:Analysis the related data of the 43 cases whom was diagnosed TRAB in The Second Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine between December 2012 to May 2014. Moreover, they were compared with the group of TSAB in the same period.Results:116 cases were collected in the stury, which included 43 cases (37.07%) of TRAB and 73 cases (62.93%) of TSAB. Both of the two groups of cases were mainly in ICU.There was no difference of statistical significance about the pulmonary infection between these two groups. However, the cases of TRAB in the abdominal infection and the deep venous catheter related infection exceeded TSAB obviously(P<0.05). The amount of cabon-class antibiotic used by TRAB group was 36(83.72%), which was much higher than 47(64.38%) by TSAB group (P<0.05)before the infection. The cases of TRAB of COPD history exceeded TSAB obviously(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant. The amount of death cases by TRAB group was 6(13.95%),and the amount of TSAB group was 7(9.59%).The difference did not have statistical significance. Conclusions:Compared with TSAB, there was a closer relationship of TRAB infection in some basic diseases (such as COPD), site of infection, indwelling nasogastric tube and the intensity used in cabon-class antibiotic. It was more common in the infection of abdominal cavity and deep venous catheter. In addition, there was no difference between these two groups in mortality rate.
