objective To study the relationship between agingã€genderã€risk factors and the prevalence of atrial fibrillation(AF).Methods A total of 5016 inpatients for enroll from oct.2012 to oct.2014 in Geriatrics Department of Second affiliated hospital of Chongqing Medical University, which are divided into four age groups:<65years (n=1420)ã€65~74 years (n=1108)ã€75~84 years (n=1710)ã€â‰¥85 years (n=778), And to explore relationship between agingã€gender risk factors and prevalence of AF. To study the distribution of atrial fibrillation with five risk factors in sex group. And compared average ageã€incidence rate of stroke in AF with that in sinus rhythm. Results There are 437 patients with AF, And the crude prevalence of AF is 8.71%, which increasing with aging. In each age group, the crude prevalence of AF in men is higher than that in women (P<0.05).The result of Binary Logistic Regression show that aging (OR=0.95[95%C.I.0.94-0.96], P<0.001)ã€CHD (OR=1.605[95% C.I. 1.296-1.987], P<0.001)ã€SSS (OR=2.868[95% C.I.1.811-4.542], P<0.001)ã€RHD(OR=28.285[95% C.I.16.235-49.281], P<0.001)and male (OR=1.246[95%C.I.1.013-1.532], P=0.037)are independent risk factors of AF.The most common risk factor of AF is CHD. Of patients suffering CHD and RHD, the prevalence of AF in female is higher than in male (P<0.01), But suffering hypertension and diabetes is quite opposite. There are 142 AF patients suffer stroke(mean age,79.74±7.51),And 1033 patients in sinus rhythm suffer stroke(mean age,76.06±9.96). The incident rate of stroke in AF is higher than that in sinus rhythm (32.76%vs.22.60%, P<0.01),and the average age of stroke in AF is older (79.74±7.51vs76.06±9.96,P<0.01).Conclusions In each age group, the crude prevalence ofAF in men is higher than that in women; Aging〠CHDã€RHDã€SSS and male are independent risk factors of AF, The most common risk factor of AF is CHD. Of patients suffering CHD and RHD, The prevalence of AF in female is higher than in male, But suffering hypertension and diabetes is quite opposite. The incident rate of stroke in AF is higher than patient in sinus rhythm, and the average age of stroke in AF is older. |
