Clinical Efficacy Study:Memantine Combining Olanzapine To Treat Behavioral And Psychological Symptoms Of Dementia

Objective:To study the clinical treatment stratigry plan and curative clinical effect of memantine combined with olanzapine treating for behavior-ral and psychological symptoms of dementia.Methods:120 cases of hospitalized patients from April to October in 2014 with behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia was adopt and randomly divided into 3 groups in digital way, such as Memantine was treatment group (group A)、Olanzapine in treatment group (group B)、Olan-zapine combined with Memantine treatment group (group C),40 cases in each group. Before and after treatment of 2,4,8,12 weeks, MOCA and BEHAVE-AD scales were used to evaluate curative effect, TESS scales to evaluate drug adverse reactions.Results:Among three groups after treatment in patients with BEHAVE-AD scale:Compared with group A, group C points rate has significant diff-errence in the 2 weekend(t=2.98, p<0.05) and a more significant difference in the 12 weekend(t=4.10,p<0.01); Compared with group B, group C points rate also has significant difference in the 2 weekend(t=2.14, p<0.05), and a more significant difference in the 12 weekend, too (t=3.96, p<0.01).When comparing after 12 week’s treatment by MOCA scale, patients in group A have obvious difference (t=3.78, p<0.01), group B unconspicuous difference (t=0.38, p>0.05)and group C distinct difference(t=4.23,p<0.01); Similarly the difference of MOCA score between group C and group A is obsolete after 12week’s treatment or before (t=0.56, p>0.05)Conclusions:Treatments by memantine combined with olanzapine can quickly and effectively control the behavioral and psychological sym-ptoms of dementia, improve cognitive function and have less adverse reaction.
