Objective: Through analyzing the relevant clinical data of 14 hospitals of patients with gallbladder polyps treated from January 2011 to December 2013 in the North of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to understand gallbladder polyps treatment situation and and related influencing factors, lay the foundation of exploring the possible existence of "excessive medical intervention".Methods: To develop a unified "gallbladder polyp intervention questionnaire", complete and comprehensive collection clinical data of 14 hospitals of patients in North Xinjiang with gallbladder polyps treated from January 2011 to December 2013, including basic information, family history, past history, the time of diagnosis and intervention information and so on. For the northern region of the gallbladder polyps demographic distribution, biodistribution and intervention were retrospectively analyzed. The use of a unified "gallbladder polyps cognitive questionnaire" for doctors treated gallbladder polyps department conducted a questionnaire survey to understand the relevant sections of the northern region of the gallbladder polyps doctors cognitive level.Results: 1, There were 1483 cases of clinical data in 14 hospitals. 806 cases(54.35%) in second level hospitals, and 677(45.65%) in tertiary hospital; 1177(79.37%) surgical cases and 306(20.63%) non operation cases; male patients 853 cases(57.52%), female patients 630 cases(42.48%); Han 1146 cases(77.3%) and minority 337 cases(22.7%), which Hui in 86 cases, 105 cases of Uygur, Kazak 97 cases, 43 cases of Mongolian, Xibe 6 cases. Age 14-83 years, the average age of 43.17 years; 2, By B ultrasound detection of 1316 cases(88.74%) and by CT detection of 167 cases(11.26%); routine physical examination found 986 cases(66.49%), due to appear cystic disease associated clinical symptoms found in 278 cases(18.75%), due to the treatment of other diseases found 219 cases(14.76%); gallbladder polyp size < 1cm in 665 cases, 1-1.5 cm in 631 cases > 1.5cm in 187 cases. 3, Open cholecystectomy was performed in 93 cases, laparoscopic cholecystectomy in 833 cases, minimally invasive gallbladder removal in 251 cases, and drug treatment in 87 cases, and 219 cases were followed up. 4, Cholesterol polyps in 973 cases(82.67%), inflammatory polyps in 117 cases(9.94%), gallbladder hypertrophy in 50 cases(4.25%), and 37 cases of adenoma polyps(3.14%). 5, There were statistically significant differences in the surgical rate of these groups:more than 60 years old group, the retired group, did not go to school, primary school group, insurance free group and the new rural cooperative group. The operation rate of minority nationality is high, the difference was statistically significant,The comparison of the operation rate in sex is no difference. 6, The number of cases of does not comply with surgical indications for surgical treatment cases and consistent with the indications for surgery and not for surgery in the grade two hospital is more than grade three hospital, the difference was statistically significant. 7, The level of knowledge cognition of the gallbladder polyps in the medical staff of the grade three hospitals was higher than that of the medical staffs in the grade two hospitals, the difference wasstatistically significant.Conclusions: 1. In the treatment of gallbladder polyps in North Xinjiang region mostly follow the surgical indications, but there are still some shortage of excessive interference problems or intervention, secondary hospital is a tertiary hospital. 2. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the main operation of gallbladder polyps, and cholesterol polyps are common pathological types. 3, Age, nationality, occupation, education degree, and medical insurance have certain influence on the choice of patients with gallbladder polyps, and the gender has no effect on the patients with gallbladder polyps. 4, The level of knowledge cognition of the gallbladder polyps in the medical staff of the grade three hospitals was higher than that of the medical staffs in the grade two hospitals.
