Objective:Through detecting the expression of HER-2 protein and the infection of HPV in upper gastrointestinal double primary cancer, we explored their relation to the clinical pathological features and the relationship between the different histological malignancies in a single- system; By analyzing the clinical pathology data of the 34 patients with upper gastrointestinal double primary cancer in Shanxi cancer hospital, the incidence regularity, diagnosis strategies and prognostic factors was studied.Methods:(1) By using the immunohistochemistry(IHC) methods, we examined the expression of HER-2 protein in 39 cases of double primary cancer specimens, and by using in-situ hybridization(ISH) technology; we examined the infection of HPV in the same ones.(2) By collecting the patients and conducting the data, the clinical features with upper gastrointestinal double primary cancers in Shanxi were discussed.Results:(1) There was no correlation between the over-expression of Her-2 protein and degree of differentiation、depth of penetration、lymph node matastasis of esophageal squamous carcinoma(ESCC) in upper gastrointestinal double primary cancer, the difference had no statistic value, P> 0.05; The over-expression of Her-2 protein was closely correlated tothe invasion depth and lymph node metastasis, the difference has statistic value(P<0.05).There was no relation either to the age or gender of patients.(2) There was no correlation between the infection of HPV and degree of differentiation,、depth of penetration、lymph node metastasis of ESCC and GAC, or age、gender of patients. There was no statistic value(P> 0.05);(3) Her-2 protein over-expressed in upper gastrointestinal double primary cancers show the consistency, Kappa=0.75, P<0.05; HPV-DNA expressd in upper gastrointestinal multiple primary cancers also show the consistency, Kappa=0.80,P<0.05.(4) By analyzing the clinical data of upper gastrointestinal double primary cancers, the prognosis was correlated to the age、therapies and region.Conclusion:(1) Her-2 and HPV may be the common oncogenic factors for both ESCC and GAC.(2) It was found that the upper gastrointestinal double primary cancer in Shanxi has obvious geographical concentration distribution, and the treatment should be based on the radical surgery, combined with the radiotherapy and chemotherapy... |
