Objective:Compare the parameters of contrast-enhanced transrectal ultrasound(CETRUS)between Prostatic Carcinoma(PCa)and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia(BPH),to research the correlation between CETRUS、microvessel density(MVD) and Gleason score of prostate cancer. Discuss the value of CETRUS to predict whether new microvessel growth or not. Methods:A total of 194 patients with increased PSA level who suspected with prostate Carcinoma(PCa), CETRUS and prostate biopsy were taken one after another. To analyze images with TIC analysis software, 7 parameters were measured. VEGF 、F8 and CD34 immunoreactivity were achieved through pathological findings. Record the Positive rate of VEGF and F8, number of VEGF、F8 and CD34. PCa patients were classified into low level 、 medium level and high level according to the Gleason score. To contrast the Positive rate of VEGF and F8, number of VEGF、F8 and CD34, the difference between these factors and the parameters.Results:①There were 56 PCa patients, 129 BPH patients, 4 PIN patients, 5 prostate nonspecific granulomatous patient. ②The value of each parameter in BPH and PCa groups showed: PI、α、α×β in PCa group were higher than which in the BPH group(P<0.05). AT、TTP were lower than which in the BPH group(P<0.05); There were no difference between AUC、β in two groups(P>0.05). ③pathological findings showed:The Positive rate of VEGF and F8、the number of VEGF、F8 and CD34 in PCa group are higher than which in the BPH group, there was significant difference between two groups(P<0.05). VEGF、F8 and CD34 at different levels in PCa group have a difference with each other(P<0.05). There were correlations between VEGF and CD34 in two groups(r=0.289, P=0.005),There were correlations between VEGF and F8 in two groups(r=0.480, P=0.000); There were no correlations between CD34 and F8 in two groups(r=0.004, P=0.597). ④There were positive correlations among PI、α、α×β and CD34 in two groups(r=0.643,P=0.000、r=0.671, P=0.000、r=0.529, P=0.002);There were negative correlations between AT、TTP and CD34 in two groups(r=-0.382,P=0.026、r=-0.720, P=0.000). There were no correlations between AUC、β and CD34 in two groups(r =-0.003, P = 0.985、r =-0.084, P=0.638). There were positive correlations between PI、α and F8 in two groups(r=0.594, P=0.005、r=0.488, P=0.018); There were negative correlations between AT、TTP and F8 in two groups(r=-0.399, P=0.027、r=-0.472, P=0.020); There were no correlations among α×β、AUC、β and F8 in two groups(r=-0.392, P=0.119、r=-0.028, P=0.246、r=-0.127, P=0.546).Conclusions:CETRUS parameters were correlated with the number of CD34 and F8; VEGF were correlated with the number of CD34 and F8; the number of CD34 and F8 changed with pathological levels. So CETRUS parameters can be used to indicate whether the new microvessel growth or not; to indicate the nature of prostate disease.
