Objective:To explore clinical value of serum procalcitonin(PCT), interleukin-6(IL-6)and C- reactive protein(CRP) in the diagnosis of postoperative infection of arthroplasty. Methods : Twenty-six cases of postoperative infection of arthroplasty admitted in Qingdao Orthopaedics and Traumatology Hospital from January 2009 to December 2012 were selected in the observation group, and 26 patients without infection in the control group. The PCT, IL-6 and CRP levels were measured by double-antibody sandwich chemiluminescence immunoassay, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and automatic immune fluoroscopy turbidimetric method, respectively. The detection sensitivity and specificity of these indicators alone and in combination were analyzed. Results:The levels of PCT, IL-6 and CRP in the observation group were obviously higher than those of the control group, and the differences were significant. The sensitivity of combined detection was 96.2%, significantly higher than the sensitivity of the detections of PCT, IL-6, CRP alone. Conclusion:Serum PCT, IL-6 and CRP are important markers of postoperative infection of arthroplasty, and combined detection of them can improve the diagnostic sensitivity, which has important value in clinical diagnosis. This has important value in clinical diagnosis.
