Objective:Ki67 protein is associated with cell cycle activity and shows a good correlation with the growth fraction, which has been found in many kinds of tumors and proposed as a prognostic or predictive marker in breast cancer[1]. This research is to explore the expression of the Ki67 in triple-negative breast cancer, and to analyze the relationship between Ki67 expression and clinicopathological factors in triple-negative breast cancer.Method: 131 cases of breast cancer were collected from January, 2009 to December,2013 in Affiliated Hospital of Yan’an University,in which 37 cases were TNBC(absent of ER, PR and HER-2), and 94 cases were non-triple-negative breast cancer. All the patients were without any treatement. We took immunohistochemistry staining to analyse the clinicopathological features of triple-negative breast cancer and the expression of Ki67,to evaluate the relationship between its pathological features and the expression of Ki67.Result: 1. The materials show that the clinicopathological features of two group have no statistical difference(P>0.05),which are comparable.Triple-negative breast cancer usually occurs in young( younger than 50 years old accounting for 59.5% of the patients), premenopausal women(73.0%); Primary site is the upper outer quadrant of the breast( 51.4%);The tumor is larger, the ones lager than 2cm accounting for75.7%; The TNM staging is later; The common histological type is invasive ductal carcinoma, and the proportion is 94.6%;Lymph node metastasis rate was 54.1%. 2.Ki67 dose not relate with age(P=0.30), menopausal status(P=0.44), tumor location(χ2=2.86,P=0.09), tumor size(P=0.40), and lymph node metastasis(χ2=0.002,P=0.97),while is related with TNM staging in triple-negative breast cancer, in whichⅠ+Ⅱstaging is 19 cases, accounting for 51.3%, Ⅲ+Ⅳ staging is 18 cases, accounting for 48.7%,and the difference is statistically significant(P=0.02).3. Ki67 expression in triple-negative breast cancer is significantly higher than non- triple-negative breast cancer, and the difference is statistically significant(83.7% vs 77.7 %,P = 0.01).Conclusion:1.Triple-negative breast cancer usually occurs in young, premenopausal women; Primary site is the upper outer quadrant of the breast; The tumor is larger; The TNM staging is later; The most common histological type is invasive ductal carcinoma; Lymph node metastasis rate is 54.1%.2. Ki67 is unrelated with age, menopausal status, tumor location, tumor size, and lymph node metastasis(P>0.05),while is related with TNM staging in triple-negative breast cancer, and the difference is statistically significant(P=0.02). 3.Ki67 expression in triple-negative breast cancer is significantly higher than non-triple-negative breast cancer, and the difference is statistically significant(P = 0.01).
