Objective: To summarize 15 cases of clinical materials of femoropopliteal in-stent restenosis(FP-ISR) underwent percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and to explore its treatment and application. Methods: 15 cases of FP-ISR including 15 affected limbs in vascular surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University from 2009 January to 2014 December were retrospectively collected. Restenosis occurred in All cases after femoropopliteal stent placement and was treated by percutaneous transluminal angioplasty. The follow-up included pain relief of the affected limb, healing of wound and restenosis of target vessel. Results: According to Tosaka classification, 3 cases were classified as grade I, 4 cases were classified as grade II and 8 cases were classified as grade III among the 15 cases. The percutaneous transluminal angioplasty was successful in all the 15 cases. The pain relief of the affected limbs was significant, and the ABI increased to 0.82 + 0.15 after operation compared to 0.41 + 0.11 before operation(P < 0.05). 4 cases of digital ulcers healed completely in 2 months after operation. All the cases were followed for 6 to 8 months after operation. The postoperative in-stent patency rate at 1 months was 100%, and the in-stent restenosis rate was 66.7%.Conclusion: Although percutaneous transluminal angioplasty for patients with FP-ISR achieves better clinical outcomes, the long-term effect is poor.
