Objective:To investigate the difference between renal tumor volume measured with preoperative computed tomography(CT) three-dimensional reconstruction and the volume measured after surgery in Chinese patients. Methods:Clinical data of 92 patients with renal tumors treated in the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University during Feb. 2014 and Dec. 2014 were retrospectively analyzed.Paired t-test was used to compare the two types of volumes. Results:The mean CT three-dimensional reconstruction volume of tumors was167.42±105.50 m L and the mean pathological mean volume was 96.21±81.37 m L, with statistical difference between them(t=20.269, P<0.001). When subjects were categorized according to histologic and surgical type, statistically significant difference was observed between the two types of volumes(P<0.05), and the correlation coefficient was 0.968.Conclusions:There is a statistically significant difference between the mean computed CT three-dimensional reconstruction volume and the mean pathological tumor volume, which may have implications on preoperative decision and prognostic prediction. |
