Objective To explore the therapeutic mechanism of Tiaoshen Jianwei Decoction to functional dyspepsia(FD).Methods fifty rats were randomly divided into five groups(control group, model group,Chaihu Shugan San group, Tiaoshen Jianwei Decoction group, Mosaprid group). All the rats expect for in control group were induced the FD rat models by clasping their tails. The rats were generally observed every day. and were given relevant therapy and deal with them in 14 days. Then measured and counted the rate of food rest in stomachand the rate of small intestine move distance. Using HE staining methods to observe the pathological manifestations of rat gastrointestinal, and detected the content of SP in gastrointestinal and hypothalamus of rats by using Western Blotting method, observed the positive expression of SP and 5-HT in gastrointestinal and hypothalamus of rats by immunohistochemical(IHC), detected the content of SP, 5-HT, MTL by ELISA.Results Compared with control group, the quantity of drinking and eating were obviously reduce, weight was loss, the rate of food rest in stomach increased, the rate of small intestine move distance decreased in model group(P<0.05), all of the SP, 5-HT and MTL decreased obviously(P<0.01) in model group; after treatment with Tiaoshen Jianwei Decoction, the rate of food rest in stomach decreased, the rate of small intestine move distance increased(P < 0.05), and all of the SP, 5-HT and MTL increased obviously(P<0.01).Conclusion Tiaoshen Jianwei Decoction can regulate the levels of SP and 5-HT in stomach, MTL in small intestine and the three brain-gut peptide in brain recover the function of gastrointestinal motility to treat FD.
