Objective: To investigate insulin-related factors affecting the prognosis of patients after tumor to purposeful control of risk factors and prevent recurrence, to provide a scientific basis for improving long-term survival of patients. Methods: A retrospective analysis of Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Qingdao University of Hepatobiliary Surgery between January 2000 to December 2013 the implementation of the 31 cases of continuous insulin tumor resection clinical data; and follow-up of 31 cases of patients with postoperative follow-up, the use of unified epidemiological questionnaire, through regular patient’s postoperative telephone follow-up home visits or to the hospital review, collect patient information, extract relevant inspection records of the hospital, the patient follow-up surgery date as the starting point Patients were followed up for death to interrupt the application Log-rank univariate analysis, multivariate analysis of COX model analysis of relevant indicators insulinoma postoperative prognosis. Results: 31 patients were followed up, the follow-up rate was 100%, the follow-up time ranged from 5 months to 8 years. In 2 patients with malignant tumors which were 6 months, 11 months appeared recurrence and metastasis of malignant tumor death. The remaining 25 patients were followed up for 2 ~ 9 years, average 5.5 years, the quality of life of patients with good. The prognosis and age of insulinoma(aged over 65 and under 65 years), benign and malignant tumors(benign and malignant), preoperative blood glucose level(2 0mmol/L and less than 2 mmol/L,)(P < 0.05) about, with gender, tumor location, tumor size, preoperative blood sugar level, mode of operation, local infiltration, distant metastasis related(P > 0.05). Age and benign or malignant tumor which belongs to the independent factors affecting the prognosis of insulinoma. Conclusion: insulinoma is β islet cell tumors, the pathogenesis is not clear, may be associated with gene mutation. Mainly in the "episodic hypoglycemia" as the main clinical manifestations, easily misdiagnosed as nervous and mental diseases, need examination diagnosis by laboratory and imaging, once the diagnosis should be treated as early as possible operation, the prognosis of insulinoma and age, Zhong Liuliang malignant, preoperative blood glucose levels are related, age and benign or malignant tumor which belongs to the independent determinants of insulinoma the prognosis.
