Objective Evaluation guiding function of intraoperative ultrasound(IOUS) monitoring cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) velocity in Chiari malformation diorthosis.Methods 12 patients with Chiari malformation I( CM-I) and syringomyelia were scanned by IOUS, monitoring the CSF velocity of spinal cord dorsal. Choose operation method by 3cm/s well-defined, larger than 3cm/s formed A group(Posterior Fossa Decompression PFD), less than 3cm/s formed B group(Posterior Fossa Decompression with Duraplasty PFDD).Result 12 cases in this study, incuding 2 cases of group A and 10 cases of group B surgical treatment effect 0f A, B groups, postoperative change of syringomyelia had no significant difference(P>0.05), CSF velocity of group B patients after PFDD significantly faster than PFD(P<0.05).Conclusion Intraoperative ultrasound can monitor cerebrospinal fluid velocity and provide objective basis for intraoperative surgery selection, so as to reduce the surgical trauma and costs.
