With the improvement of computer technology and modern communication, the development of telemedicine becomes fast. Telemedicine provides an opportunity for patients to connect with doctors who may be thousands miles away by using computers and internet.The heart sound signal is one of the most important physiological signals of human beings, it is a reflection of the heart and cardiovascular system of mechanical movement, due to myocardial contraction and a mechanical vibration diastolic open and close in the heartbeat cycle, and the impact of blood flow of ventricular wall and large artery caused by evaluation, and also a basic method of the condition of heart function, it reflects the conditions of human heart, and it has more advantages than ECG in some ways. Nowadays, computer-aided diagnosis which depends on digital signal processing becomes more and more popular; the computer-aided diagnosis of heart sound becomes available now. In this study, remote auscultation and computer-aided diagnosis of heart sound will be combined together to realize the signal analysis.This paper introduced some common time-frequency analysis methods, such as short-time Fourier transform, Wavelet transform and so on. A detection algorithm of heart sound based on S transform time-frequency spectrum has been provided in this paper. The origin and properties of S transform were introduced. The different to traditional short-time Fourier transform is a frequency factor has been added in Gaussian window in S transform, In this way, S transform shows higher time resolution at high frequency and higher frequency resolution at low frequency. The heart sound signal was similar shape to sine wave in time domain. This feature made the S transform has advantage in time-frequency analysis. Heart sound signals can be fine analysis use S transform.The method has been provided in this paper shows a good potential in the application of assistant doctor auscultation and disease control and other fields.
