Objective: To explore the clinical effects of the postoperative functional exercise of developmental dislocation of the hip by the Principle of Static and Dynamic Balance. Methods:Patients of developmental dislocation of the hip118 cases(171 hips) after operation were selected. Among them 91 patients were aged from1.5 to 5 years old and 27 patients were older than 5 years old.The patients aged from 1.5 to 5 years old were randomly divided into A, B two groups, Group A was the patients of functional exercise guided by the Principle of Static and Dynamic Balance, and Group B was the patients of functional exercises by traditional methods. Patients over 5 years old were randomly divided into two groups of C and D.The patients in Group C applied functional exercise by the Principle of Static and Dynamic Balance. The patients in Group D applied functional exercises by traditional methods. To observe effects of postoperative functional recovery and postoperative complications of developmental dislocation of the hip between the two methods of functional exercise, and to analyse results by using statistics method. Results:The effect of functional exercise groups(A and C)under the guidance of the Principle of Static and Dynamic Balance is better than functional exercise groups(B and D)by traditional methods. Conclusion: The postoperative functional recovery and less postoperative complications of developmental dislocation of the hip by the Principle of Static and Dynamic Balance have advantages and feasibility for certain.
