| Objective:To observe the therapy of Benefiting Qi and Activating Blood Circulation to improve the quality of life of elderly patients suffering from advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Methods:60 cases met the standards of elderly patients suffering from advanced non-small cell lung cancer were randomly divided into two groups,30 cases of the Study Group and 30 cases of the Control Group. Control group, the use of conventional chemotherapy alone; On the basis of conventional chemotherapy, the Observer Group was added traditional Chinese medicine. All cases were observed in 3 cycles, 3 weeks for a cycle. After that, the general situations of two groups were compared, including Functional Assessment Cancer Treatment scale of Lung cancer(FACT-L) 4.0 Chinese version, TCM syndrome scale of Lung cancer, Karnofsky performance status, Weight, etc. Results: Study group and control group had non-difference at the beginning. After treatment for 3 cycles, the routine blood test, FACT-L 4.0 score, KPS score, weight of Study group are better than the Control Group. However, there was no difference between the two groups on the kidney function. Conclusion: The method of Supplementing Qi and Activating Blood Circulation Method not only relieve Bone marrow suppression and gastrointestinal reactions caused by Chemotherapy, but also alleviate Chinese clinical symptoms. And it can reduce the toxic side effects of chemotherapy and improve patient’s quality of life. |
