Purpose:By using the retrospective cohort study, this test was to analyze the reasons which may cause hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke. To provide evidence for preventing the convalescent stroke patients from supervening hypoproteinemia. Methods:We selected 50 convalescent stroke patients with hypoproteinemia as the experimental group, and 62 patients without hypoproteinemia as the control group. Firstly, we recorded the basis information, anamnesis and personal history. Secondly, we saw all selected patients’ hemanalysis and biochemical examination results and logged the exception indications in detail. Thirdly, after hospitalization, we would record the score of Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD) and Glasgow coma scale (GCS), the result of the Sub-water Test, the information on decubitus and stroke associated pneumonia(SAP), and so forth. Fourthly, the test group included all the patients who occurred with hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke, and the patients without hypoproteinemia as the control group. Fifthly, we analyzed the possible risk factors that may trigger for hypoproteinemia. We needed to analyze whether there was some relevance between hypoproteinemia and those risk factors. Sixthly, we would use the SPSS 17.0 to do the data analysis and statistical processing.ResultFirstly, baseline data analysis:there is no significant correlation between hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke and sex, either between hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke and the types of stroke.(P>0.05). Secondly, there was some relevance between age and hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke. Compare the group whose age is greater than or equal to 66 with the others, the difference is significant (P<0.05).Thirdly, there is some relevance between consciousness disturbance and hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke. The statistics showed that the occurring rate of hypoproteinemia in consciousness disturbance group was 2.76 times to the group without consciousness disturbance. And the 95% confidence interval of overall relative risk was 2.49 to 11.16.Fourthly, there is some relevance between dysphagia and hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke. The statistics showed that the occurring rate of hypoproteinemia in dysphagia group was 7.33 times to the group without dysphagia. And the 95% confidence interval of overall relative risk was 2.03 to 10.73.Fifthly, there is some relevance between post stroke depression (PSD) and hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke. The statistics showed that the occurring rate of hypoproteinemia in post stroke depression (PSD) group was 4.89 times to the group without post stroke depression (PSD). And the 95% confidence interval of overall relative risk was 1.67 to 7.85.Sixthly, there is some relevance between stroke associated pneumonia(SAP) and hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke. The statistics showed that the occurring rate of hypoproteinemia in stroke associated pneumonia(SAP) group was 8.96 times to the group without stroke associated pneumonia(SAP). And the 95% confidence interval of overall relative risk was 2.32 to 13.48.Seventhly, there is some relevance between decubitus and hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke. The statistics showed that the occurring rate of hypoproteinemia in decubitus group was 4.43 times to the group without decubitus. And the 95% confidence interval of overall relative risk was 3.14 to 16.5.Eighthly, there is no correlation between hypertension and hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke. The statistics showed that the value of OR is 0.98, and the value is less than 1, therefore, hypertension is not the risk factor of hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke.Ninthly, there is some relevance between type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke. The statistics showed that the occurring rate of hypoproteinemia in type 2 diabetes mellitus group was 2.48 times to the group without type 2 diabetes mellitus. And the 95% confidence interval of overall relative risk was 1.06 to 4.04.Tenthly, there is some relevance between chronic heart failure(CHF) and hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke. The statistics showed that the occurring rate of hypoproteinemia in CHF group was 6.41 times to the group without CHF. And the 95% confidence interval of overall relative risk was 2.72 to 15.00.Conclusion:Age, dysphagia, post stroke depression (PSD), stroke associated pneumonia(SAP), CHF and diabetes mellitus(DM) are the risk factors of hypoproteinemia in the recovery period of stroke, whereas hypertension, sex and the types of stroke are not.
