Effects Of Ginkgo Biloba Extract On The Prethrombotic State In Patients With Acute Exacerbation Of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Objectives:1) To observe the affect of ginkgo biloba extract to the prethrombotic state in patients with AECOPD;2) To explore the possible mechanism of the affect of Ginkgo biloba extract on the prethrombotic state in patients with AECOPD.Methods:76 patients with AECOPD were divided randomly into 2 groups as follows:control group (n=38) and treat group (n=38). At the same time,35 healthy volunteers were collected as healthy group. Control group were treated with anti-infection, spasmolysis, and antiasthma. Treat group were treated with the same therapeutic schedule. At the sanme time, Treat group were administered by intravenous shu xue ning 20 ml (equivalent as ginkgo biloba extract 70 mg, which contains flavonol glycosides 16.8 mg, ginkgo lactone 2.8 mg) addin 5%GS 250 ml once daily for ten days. Von Willeband Factor antigen (vWF:Ag), antithrombin Ⅲ (ATⅢ), D-dimer and fibrinogen (FIB) were tested in healthy group. The index were tested in control group and treat group before and at the end of the treatment. Clinical symptoms integrals were evaluated in control group and treat group before and at the end of the treatment. The change of vWF:Ag、AT Ⅲ、D-dimer and FIB were compered in control group and treat group before and at the end of the treatment.Results:1) VWF:Ag、D-dimmer、FIB were higher in control group than that of healthy group (P< 0.05). ATⅢ was lower in control group than that of healthy group (P<0.05).2) VWF:Ag、D-dimmer、FIB were higher in treat group than that of healthy group (P<0.05). ATⅢ was lower in terat group than that of healthy group (P<0.05).3) VWF:Ag, D-dimer and FIB were lower after the treatment both in treat group and control group (P<0.05). ATⅢ was higher after the treatment both in treat group and control group (P <0.05).4) VWF:Ag, ATⅢ, D-dimer and FIB have no statistical differences between terat group and control group before the treatment (P>0.05). VWF:Ag, D-dimer and FIB were lower in treat group than that of control group after the treatment (P<0.05). ATⅢ was higher in treat group than that of control group after the treatment (P<-.05).。5) Clinical symptoms integrals were lower in both control group and treat group after the treatment. But there was no tatistical differences between the two groups after the treatment (P>0.05).Conclusion:Ginkgo biloba extract could regulate the level of vWF:Ag, ATⅢ, D-dimer, FIB in patients with AECPPD. It could improved the prethrombotic state in patients with AECOPD.
