Purpose:To explore the practical valuable of fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH) polyclonal probes in diagnosis of alveolar soft tissue sarcoma. Methods:All tissues were collected in 2007 to 2013,including 5 cases of alveolar soft tissue sarcomas,5 cases of granulosa cell tumours,5 cases of papillary renal cell carcinomas and 5 cases of Xp11.2 translocation renal cell carcinomas. FISH probes were used to detect ASPL-TFE3 gene translocation in the cut sections of tumours.Results:ASPL-TFE3 gene translocation singals were detected in all 5 cases of alveolar soft tissue sarcomas, the split signals were detected in 5 cases of Xp11.2 translocation renal cell carcinomas, while the signals were normal in all cases of granulosa cell tumours and papillary renal cell carcinomas.
