Purpose:The prospective method of research is used for this study, the meticulous use of TCM syndrome differentiation characteristics before and after TC chemotherapy regimen in ovarian cancer patients, to explore the influence of the change of TCM syndromes in the TC chemotherapy regimen in ovarian cancer patients, and put fowards the concept of TCM early intervention, by exploring the best opportunity for TCM pathomechanism, the pattern of change in syndrome and also the application of herbal medicine and clinical treatment of ovarian cancer, to promote the clinical importance of the basic theories practical value, at the same time with more opportunity in the integration of chinese and western medicine, in order to improve the clinical therapeutic effect of ovarian cancer. Methods: 50 cases of hospitalized ovarian cancer patients were selected from January 2014 to January 2015 in Jiangsu Province TCM hospital oncology department and in Jiangsu Province Oncology hospital gynecology department, to study the change of syndromes before and after TC chemotherapy regimen in ovarian cancer patients, and from there we try to find some regular pattern. Results:The distribution of symptoms and syndrome in ovarian cancer patients before and after TC chemotherapy regimen:(1) 7 days before chemotherapy, it is mainly manifested with the occurrence of mainly abdominal pain and abdominal distention, hypochondriac distending pain, fatigue, lassitude, spontaneous sweating etc such symptoms, pale red tongue, dark purple tongue, thin white coating accounting for 38%,28%,46% respectively, deep and thready pulse and wiry pulse are mostly seen, accounting for 42%,30% respectively, the combination of the four diagnosis methods and the syndrome differentiation is marked mainly with the syndrome of Qi deficiency and the syndrome of Qi stagnation and blood stasis accounting for 38% and 28% respectively;(2) 8 days after chemotherapy, the occurrence rate of poor appetite, nausea, vomiting, spontaneous sweating, night sweating, insomnia, dream disturbed sleep, thirst, dry stools, constipation, scanty yellow urine etc such symptoms compared to before chemotherapy is obviously increased, the tongue picture is mainly manifested as red tongue accounting for 42%, and the pulse is mostly thready and rapid pulse accounting for 52%, the syndromes are mostly divided into Yin deficiency syndrome and syndrome of phlegm heat accounting for 32% and 18% respectively;(3) 15 days after chemotherapy, the symptoms, tongue and pulse didn’t change compared to 8 days after chemotherapy, the syndromes are divided into Yin deficiency syndrome and syndrome of phlegm heat, accounting for 32% and 20% respectively. Through statistical analysis, there is significant difference between syndrome distribution before and after treatment, but there is no significant difference between the 8th day and the 15th day after chemotherapy. Conclusion: The results showed that there is a certain pattern in the TCM syndrome changes before and after TC chemotherapy regimen in ovarian cancer, before chemotherapy, it is mainly manifested as the syndrome of Qi deficiency and the syndrome of Qi stagnation and blood stasis, after chemotherapy the constitution of Yin deficiency syndrome and the syndrome of phlegm heat is obviously manifest compared to before chemotherapy. On this basis, we can put forward the early TCM intervention in ovarian cancer with the TC chemotherapy regimen, the treatment principle before chemotherapy is to tonify Qi, circulate Qi and transform stasis; after chemotherapy, the emphasis should be on moistening Yin, clearing heat and transforming phlem, to prevent and treat the occurrence and development of the syndrome of Yin deficiency and the syndrome of phlegm heat.
