Objectives:To explore and discuss the effects of Jianpi-qushi decoction on hyperlipidemia model mice. Methods:In this experiment, mice were firstly allowed to acclimate, and randomly divided into 4 groups after 2 days for weighing,8 mice for each group. a) Normal control group:mice in this group were fed with normal diet, drank water freely and continuous feeding for 8 weeks; b) Model control group:mice in this group were fed with high fat diet for 8 weeks, and drank water freely; c) High-dose group:mice in this group were fed with high fat diet for 4 weeks, drank water freely; and after successful modelling, Jianpi-qushi decoction concentrate of 0.2ml was given by gavage performed twice at morning and night for 4 weeks along with the normal diet; d) Low-dose group:mice in this group were fed with high fat diet for 4 weeks, drank water freely; and after successful modelling, Jianpi-qushi decoction concentrate of 0.1ml was given by gavage performed twice at morning and night for 4 weeks along with the normal diet; changes in animal weights were observed every day. Four indexes include the T-CHO, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C in serum of hyperlipidemia model mice. Results:Through variance analysis and comparison, the differences among the serum total cholesterol (T-CHO), triglyceride (TG) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C) of hyperlipemia-modeled rat of the normal group and model group were significant (p<0.01); the differences among the indicators of high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C) of hyperlipemia-modeled rat were, through variance analysis and comparison, statistically very significant (p<0.01). As indicated by the results of variance analysis and comparison between the model group and high-dose group, the hyperlipemia-modeled rat treated with Jianpi-qushi recipe presented significant difference with respect to T-CHO, TG, LDL-C and HDL-C (p<0.01). And for the variance analysis and comparison between the model group and low-dose group, the differences of T-CHO, LDL-C and HDL-C were statistically significantly (p<0.01), also the TG had significant difference as p<0.05.Conclusion:Jianpi-qushi decoction can effectively regulate and control the experimental hyperlipidemia by decreasing the indexes of T-CHO, TG and LDL-C in serum of hyperlipidemia model mice, while increasing the HDL-C. Therefore, this decoction deserves further study and discussion.
