Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics of the uterine rupture and association between interpregnancy interval with uterine rupture during the pregnancy after previous cesarean section. Methods:Excluding the patients with polyhydramnios, fetal macrosomia, multiple pregnancy, placenta previa, placental abruption, uterine malformations and≥2times uterine surgeries, data of1866patients who delivered after previous cesarean section from January2014to December in Women’s Hospital School of Medicine ZheJiang University were analyzed retrospectively. Results:The data were divided into six groups according to interpregnancy interval (IPI),162(8.7%) IPI>120months,761(40.8%) IPI60~120months,513(27.5%) IPI36~60months,265(14.2%) IPI24~36months,143(7.7%) PI12~24months (control group),22(1.1%) IPI<12months, including63cases of uterine rupture. Maternal age. gestational age and fetal birth weight were statistically significant between the six groups (P>0.05),but these factors did not increase the risk of uterine rupture(P>0.05). The thickness of the lower uterine segment myometrium was related to uterine rupture (P<0.05). The thickness of the lower uterine segment myometrium of uterine rupture group was1.42±0.42mm, another one of non-uterine rupture group was1.62±0.45mm. There was a significant difference (P<0.01) between the two groups. The study found that the risk of uterine rupture did not increase with different IPI groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The study excluded maternal age, gestational age, birth weight three confounding factors of uterine rupture, found that too short or too long IPI did not increase the risk of uterine rupture. The thickness of the lower uterine segment myometrium was related to uterine rupture. The scar was thinner, the risk of uterine rupture was greater.
