Objective:The aim of this insvetigation is to discuss the association between diabetesmellitus and chronic hepatitis B or C,Analze the change of related index, suchan liver function test or lipid profile. In order to treat early in positive andcorrect ways, to reduce the pain of patients and prevent its complications。Methods:In order to perform this investigation, we choosed8305individuals fromthe database of large epidemiological studies in China Chang chun area fromJune to December2011(male2674cases,accounted for32.2%,femal5631cases,accounted for67.8%).According to the level of glucose,HBsAg,HCV-Ab,the individuals of our study were divided into two major groups:Groupof normal glucose metabolism(3807cases): simple normal glucosemetabolism (3537cases);group of normal glucose metabolism with chronichepatitis B (207cases);group of normal glucose metabolism with chronichepatitis C(63cases).Group of abnormal glucose metabolism(4498cases, including pre-diabetes and diabetes):group of simple abnormal glucosemetabolism (4159cases);group of abnormal glucose metabolism with chronichepatitis B (246cases);group of abnormal glucose metabolism with chronichepatitis C (93cases). Results:1)In this study, Age, BMI, FBG,2hPBG,LDL, TC, TG, ALT, γ-GT,FINS, HOMA-IR and HbA1c in group of abnormal glucose metabolismwerehigher than that in group of normal glucose metabolism, the difference wasstatistically significant (P<0.0001), and HDL、CRE and HOMA-βin group ofnormal glucose metabolism were higher than that in group of abnormalglucose metabolism, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.0001).2)The prevalence of the HBsAg positive was5.45%,and the prevalence of HCV-Ab positive was1.88%.the general pre-diabetes prevalence was22.5%,andthe prevalence of diabetes was31.7%.In normal glucose subjects, subjects withpre-diabetes and subjects with diabetes mellitus, the prevelence of HBsAgpositive were5.44%,5%and5.78%, the prevalence of HCV-Abpositive were1.65%,1.88%,2.2%.In the chronic hepatitis B subjects, theprevalence of pre-diabetes was20.8%, and the prevalence of diabetes mellituswas33.5%, while in the chronic hepatitis C subjects, the prevalence ofpre-diabetes was22.4%, the prevalence of diabetes mellitus was37.2%, inthe normal subjects without hepatitis B or C, the prevalence of pre-diabeteswas22.6%, and the prevalence of diabetes mellitus was31.5%.3)Group chronic hepatitis B or C compaired with control group, FBG,2hPBG,FINS, HOMA-IR, HOMA-β, HbA1c had no significant difference (P>0.05).Group of diabetes mellitus with chronic hepatitis B or C compaired withgroup of diabetes mellitus, FBG,2hPBG, HbA1c, HOMA-IR, HOMA-β, FINS also showed no significant difference (P>0.05).4)The level of TC in group ofsimple chronic hepatitis B was lower than that in control group, the differencewas statistically significant (P <0.004). The level of TG in group of chronichepatitis B or C also was lower than that in control group, the difference wasstatistically significant (P <0.0002). The level of TC in group of diabetesmellitus with chronic hepatitis C was lower than that in the group of simplediabetes mellitus, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion:The prevalence of pre-diabetes and the prevalence of diabetes inChangchun area are higher than the national average level. The prevalenceof chronic hepatitis B and the prevalence of chronic hepatitis C inChangchun area are lower than the average level in China.TC,TG and LDL ingroup of abnormal glucose metabolism are higher than that in group ofnormal glucose, HDL in group of normal glucose is higher than that ingroup of abnormal glucose metabolism. The level of TC,TG in group of chronichepatitis B is lower than that in group of control, while the level of TG in groupof chronic hepatitis C is also lower than that in group of control. The level ofTC in group of diabetes with chronic hepatitis C is lower than that in group ofdiabetes.Populations with chronic hepatitis B and C compared with the controlindividuals, there is no significant difference in FBG,2hPBG, HOMA-IR,HOMA-β and HbA1c.
