Colorectal cancer is a common digestive tract malignant tumor. The incidence and mortality of colorectal cancer of chuna were higher than the average level of the world. Because of the clinical lately diagnosis and high cost, so a serious family have economic and social burden. The pathogenesis and clinical treatment of colorectal cancer is a hotspot and difficult problem. Through the study about expression of CFTR(cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulation factor) and E-cadherin protein in colorectal cancer tissue and normal colorectal mucosa, to explore the relationship between their expression and clinical pathological characteristics. At the same time to explore the relationship between the expression of CFTR and E-cadherin protein in colorectal carcinoma. To provide theory support for the further study of CFTR and E-cadherin in colorectal cancer progression of the disease mechanism and prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer. This experiment collected 62 operative specimens of rectal cancer of Department of General Surgical of 309 th Hospital of PLA as experimental group(group A) and corresponding normal mucosa of 60 cases of tumor patients were collected as control group(group B). The 62 patients consisted of 38 males and 24 females, whose age ranged from 37 to 83, with a average age of 55.4 years old. The degree of differentiation are: 12 cases of high differentiation, 27 cases of medium differentiation, 23 cases of low differentiation.TNM stage: I 11 cases, stage II 26 cases, 25 cases of stage III. 23 cases had metastasis to lymph nodes in 39 cases, 23 cases withoutlymph node metastasis. There were 35 cases of serous invasion, and27 cases without serous invasion. Expression of CFTR and E-cadherin protein in colorectal cancer tissue and normal colorectal mucosa were observed by immunohistochemical method(envision method). Results show that The expression of CFTR and E-cadherin protein in colorectal carcinoma and was significantly lower than in normal mucosa tissues, the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05). The expression of CFTR and E-cadherin protein in colorectal cancer has a positive correlation between them(R=0.403,P < 0.05). The expression CFTR and E-cadherin protein have a close correlation with the tumor TNM stageing, differentiation degree, serosal invasion, lymph node metastasis of colorectal cancer, and are not related to gender, age and size of the tumor of the patient. The above results suggest that CFTR and E-cadherin protein have a close correlation with occurrence, local invasion and distant metastasis in colorectal cancer. Two proteins are involved in the pathogenesis of colorectal cancer. The combined detection of CFTR and E-cadherin for the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer, has important significance in predicting tumor invasion and metastasis.CFTR may provide a new gene targets and strategies for the treatment of colorectal cancer.
