Objective:The aim of this study was to analyze the acute and short-term outcome in30patients who were followed up over a period of12months after alcohol septal ablation (PTSMA) for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM)..Methods:PTSMA was intended in30patients with HOCM(from2010.1to2014.1).All patients had clinical and non-invasive follow-up at discharge,1month,6months and1year.Results:PTSMA was performed in30patients successfully, the number of target vessel range from1to4(DIAG1:33.3%, DIAG2:35.6%, DIAG3:20.0%, DIAG4:11.1%), the average alcohol used was3.6±1.8ml; the average LVOTG、velocity of blood flow、IVS was reduced compared with pre-surgery (P<0.05),but there is no significant difference in LAD、LVFS%and EF; Post-surgery,4patients had transient Ⅲ°AVB during operation (13.3%),1developed into permanent and pacemaker was implanted, other complications was persistent atrial fibrillation(1,3.3%), frequent PVC(2,6.7%), junctional premature beat(1,3.3%),pericardial effusions(2,6.7%),and aggravated mitral regurgitation(2,6.7%).During1year follow-up, syncope was recurred in2,4complained that chest pain and distress still existed after slight activities, and the death rate is0%Conclusions:Acute and Short-term follow up data showed that PTSMA could significantly reduce the IVS, LVOT and improve the heart function of patients with HOCM.
