Dissociative disorder, which is also called dissociative (conversion) disorder, was named hysteria before. Dissociative disorder is a kind of mental disorders, which is caused by mental factors, such as life events, inner conflict, emotional, suggestion and self-talk, and acting on the susceptible individuals. The common characteristics of dissociative disorder are partially or completely lost four aspects of the normal consolidation, including the memory of the past, the identity consciousness, instant feeling and body movement control. Due to the dissociative disorder is a set of the changing concepts and classification of disease, and clinical manifestation of disease has diversity, complexity and patients’ features. Dissociative disorder is easily confused with somatic disease, diagnosed difficultly, and easily misdiagnosed, and even leading to serious consequences. Therefore, it’s urgent to summary experiences and lessons during clinical occupation to form a norm of therapeutic regimen. Here we present two cases of dissociative disorder patients misdiagnosed as the organic diseases before, who were diagnosed in the department of psychiatry of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University.
