Pseudo-ginsenoside F11(PF11) is one of the octillol-type saponin which exists only inAmerican ginseng.It distinguish American ginseng from panax ginseng C A Mayer.Manyresearches shows that PF11main activity is a positive inotropic to isolated cardiac function, itcan be the treatment of myocardial ischemia, and can activate cardiomyocytes calciumchannel. PF11has a protective effect to injury rat cortical neurons, it can significantlyimprove obtain barriers of spatial disordersand memory consolidation reproduction disordersof memory in mice. PF11also can protect the cerebrovascular system and nervous system, ithave antagonism of morphine physical, promote wisdom and prevente dementia.In this thesis,the chemistry synthesis technology and the related substances ofpseudo-ginsenoside F11were studied. The preparation process of PF11include the synthesis ofRg2crude products by alkaline degradation and the structural modification of Rg2byoxidative cyclization with its side chain.Through single factor tests, some best reactionconditions of alkaline degradation reaction including solvent, temperature, time werediscussed. And as the same time the structural modification agents were studies too.10compounds from alkaline-degradation and oxidative-cyclization products wereisolated by silica gel column chromatography and recrystallization, and their structureswere elucidated by chemical methods and spectral techniques as follows:D(Ⅰ), ginsenoside Rg2(Ⅱ),Quinquenoside L90(Ⅲ),3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-20-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-dammar-3β,12β,20S,24ξ,25-pentaol(Ⅳ)、24(R)-Ocotillol(Ⅴ),24(R)-Pseudo-ginsenoside HQ(Ⅵ), Pseudo-ginsenoside HQ(Ⅶ),24(S)-Ocotillol(Ⅷ), Pseudo-ginsenoside RT5(Ⅸ),Pseudo-ginsenoside RT4(Ⅹ),Pseudo-ginsenoside F11(Ⅺ),24(S)-Pseudo-ginsenoside F11(Ⅻ). Among of them the Quinquenoside L90is a new compound.The inhibiting effect of compound Ⅲ on the apoptosis of human cancer SW480cells, human colon cancer A549cells,human prostate cancer PC3M cells and humanliver cancer HepG2cells,human breast cancer MCF-7cells, human lung cancer NCI-H446cells were initially investigated. The results of pharmaceutical tests in vitro revealed that Quinquenoside L90had an obviously antitumor activeities.
