Objective: Through study the Han teenagers with individual normal occlusion inChangchun area use the Jarabak cephalometric analysis, we intend to establish the standardvalues of Jarabak cephalometric analysis of Han teenagers with normal occlusion inChangchun area. Meanwhile, study the growth and development characteristics of the cranioand maxillofacial of different group with different face, age and gender. Thus, we couldprovide more theoretical references and accessory guidance for orthodontists so as to workout the individualized treatment plan for different patients. Thus, we can improve theefficiency of orthdontic treatment.We will promote the wide appliance of RothWilliams’concept in Changchun area.Method: We investigated more than one thousand and five hundard youth from threemiddle school in Changchun area, screen sixty-five teenagers with individual normalocclusion that meet our requirements. Include thirty male cases and thirty-five female cases,the average age is14.07±1.72years old for male,14.34±1.43years old for female. Takingthe X-ray lateral cephalometry for every subject in natural head position(NHP), and tracingthe landmarks of the Jarabak cephalometric analysis with Manual measurement method andWinCeph8.0software. Then measure the measurment items include line spacing, angle andthe ratio of line spacing, which are composed of mark points. Then we analysis theexperimental data use the SPSS17.0statistical software. We get the average and the standarddeviation by the ANOVAmethod, and also make the independent sample t-test use the genderas a group, the level of the test is0.05.Result: Through the study, we establish the standard values of Jarabak cephalometricanalysis of Han teenagers with normal occlusion in Changchun area, and make the statisticalanalysis so as to compare the gender difference about all measurement items. Through thestatistical analysis we know that there isn’t obvious diversity in age(P=0.48).The results ofthe study showed that in both dental and soft tissue measurements,there were no significantdifferences between male and female groups(P>0.05).Most skeletal liner measurements likeS-N(mm)、S-Ar(mm)、Ar-Go(mm)、N-Go(mm)、S-Me(mm)、Go-Me(mm)、S-Go(mm)、N-Me(mm) showed significant statistical differences(P<0.01), And the male’s results areobviously higher than the female’s.The ratio of Go-Me/S-N also has Statistically significantdifference,but the male’s results are obviously lower than the female’s.The SN-GoGn anglealso has difference between male and female, but the difference isn’t obvious, the male’sresults are slightly less than the female’s(P<0.05). The other angles showed no significantdiference. The Jarabak ratio(S-Go/N-Me) is(70.92±4.23)%in male,(67.53±4.12)%infemale,and there aren’t significant statistical differences between them(P>0.05).Conclusion: We establish the standard values of Jarabak cephalometric analysis of Hanteenagers with normal occlusion in Changchun area through our study.Following are the measurement items differences between male and female in Changchun area:①In our study of Jarabak cephalometric analysis, the results of the study showed that inboth dental and soft tissue measurements,there were no significant differences between maleand female groups.②In our study of Jarabak cephalometric’s liner spacing analysis,we know that mostskeletal liner measurements showed significant statistical differences. And the male’s resultsare obviously higher than the female’s.③In our study of Jarabak cephalometric’s angle analysis, the SN-GoGn angle also hasdifference between male and female(P<0.05),but the difference isn’t obvious,the male’sresults are slightly less than the female’s. The others showed no significant diference.④%Jarabak,which is the ratio of posterior facial height and anterior facial height(S-Go/N-Me),hasn’t significant statistical differences between male and female(P>0.05).Theresult of the male is (70.92±4.23)%,and the female is (67.53±4.12)%.
