Objective:Using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) study of cervical nerve rootstructure and the relationship with intervertebral foramen, for the surgicaltreatment of cervical spondylosis of nerve root type imaging data.Materials and methods:Selected from May2010to May2010,100cases with individualhealth checks in the first hospital of Jilin university,42women, male,58,ranging in age from42to69, with an average age of56years, confirmedthe diminution of neurological diseases, spine is normal, no obviousdeformity or dislocation and fracture occurs. Cervical spine scanningtools for GE company DiscoveryTM MR7503.0T MRI machine, thenuse AW Volume Share4AW4.5workstation for image processing, andthen were observed. Summary of observations, and then using the3dreconstruction technology measurement related data, the last use ofstatistical software for data analysis.Results:1、Intervertebral foramen area on the left side of the spinal nerveroots: C3and diameter was0.36±0.08cm, diameter0.28±0.08cm,before and after C4and diameter was0.39±0.06cm, diameter was0.31±0.07cm, before and after the C5and diameter was0.43±0.07cm,diameter0.34±0.09cm, before and after C6and diameter was0.45± 0.06cm, diameter was0.35±0.06cm, before and after the C7diameterwas0.47±0.09cm, up and down before and after the diameter is0.38±0.06cm.2、Intervertebral foramen area on the right side of the spinal nerveroot: C3and diameter was0.35±0.06cm, diameter was0.30±0.12cm,before and after the C4and diameter was0.38±0.09cm, diameter was0.32±0.06cm, before and after the C5and diameter was0.42±0.05cm,diameter0.35±0.10cm, before and after C6and diameter was0.45±0.04cm, diameter was0.35±0.09cm, before and after the C7diameterwas0.48±0.08cm, up and down before and after the diameter is0.39±0.04cm.3、On the left side of the neck nerve roots and spinal cord Anglemeasurement under the C3Angle was34.01±8.54degrees, the formerAngle was50.62±6.90degrees. Angle under C4was45.32±6.80degrees, the first Angle is51.24±4.71degrees. C5under Angle of50.28±6.59degrees, the former Angle was53.51±5.90degrees. C6Angleunder53.82±4.94degrees, the first Angle is55.94±4.80degrees. Underthe C7Angle was57.62±6.97degrees, former Angle was58.15±5.60degrees.4、On the right side of cervical nerve roots and spinal cord intoAngle measurement under the C3Angle was33.87±9.28degrees, theformer Angle was50.87±7.23degrees. Angle under C4was44.96±6.33degrees, the first Angle is51.47±5.21degrees. C5under Angle of49.91±6.15degrees, the former Angle was53.76±7.11degrees. C6Angle under54.21±5.42degrees, the first Angle is56.24±4.95degrees.Under the C7Angle was59.21±5.68degrees, former Angle was59.26±6.42degrees.5、On the left side of the intervertebral foramen line length and the diameter measurements C35.2±1.0mm in length, and diameter of6.7±1.2before and after the diameter4.8±0.7mm. C45.5±0.8mm in length, diameter was6.4±1.1, up and down before and after the diameter4.3±0.9mm. C55.9±1.2mm in length, and diameter was6.5±0.8, before andafter the diameter4.2±0.8mm. C66.3±1.4mm in length, and diameterwas6.4±0.9, before and after the diameter4.6±0.7mm. C76.6±0.9mmin length, and diameter was6.3±0.7, before and after the diameter5.0±1.0mm.6、On the left side of the intervertebral foramen line length and thediameter measurements C35.3±1.2mm in length, and diameter of6.9±0.9before and after the diameter4.9±0.8mm. C45.4±1.1mm in length, diameter was6.3±1.3, up and down before and after the diameter4.4±0.8mm. C56.0±0.7mm in length, and diameter was6.6±1.4, before andafter the diameter4.2±1.3mm. C66.4±0.8mm in length, and diameterwas6.5±1.1, before and after the diameter4.7±0.8mm. C76.7±1.0mmin length, and diameter was6.4±0.6, before and after the diameter5.1±0.8mm.7、The angulation of anterior horn and posterior horn of the leftcervical nerve roots: C3is28.10degrees, C4is29.03degrees, the C5is29.88degrees, the C6is29.74degrees, the C7is30.56degrees.8、The angulation of anterior horn and posterior horn of the rightcervical nerve roots:C3is29.13degrees, C4is29.45degrees, the C5is29.42degrees, the C6is30.24degrees, the C7is30.12degrees.Conclusion:1.The upper cervical nerve root is fine, form steep, and thevertical axis angle of about40degrees, the lower cervical nerve root isthick, form relatively flat, angle of about60DEG, in correlation ofcervical nerve roots during the operation, the need to pay attention to the corresponding segment of the nerve root of direction, avoid excessivetraction lead nerve injury.2.MRI have better imaging effect on cervical nerve root,3Dreconstruction of the course and the adjacent display clear, preoperativeconventional3D reconstruction of anatomicalobservations help operationsuccess.3.This reach has certained the relationships between every nerve inthe neck and give a strong evidence to clinicle medcine.
