Objective: To observe the assistant effect of modified Shen Bai Wan (MSBW)on S180tumor mice and explore its possible mechanism.Methods:100male mice were randomly divided into two groups, each consisting of50.50male Kunming mice, randomly selected from10just as blank group, theremainder is used to tumor model,and divided into4group, each group10only.Themodel group (giving saline,14days),The MSBW group (300mg/kg/d,14days),TheCTX group(40mg/kg/w),The MSBW+CTX group(the dose time of the MSBW groupand The CTX group). To Observation the rats of life quality, and survival time,thetumor growth inhibition rate,WBC count,and indexes of immunologicalfounctions,interleukin-2(IL-2) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)levels.Results:1.general condition observed in mice, with the passage of time and the growthof tumors, the each group of mice weight grows, model groups the least growth,compared with the Western Group, the CMB mice body weight experienced (P<0.05).2. compared with the model group, the group of Chinese medicine group, the Western medicine group, the combining Chinese and Western medicine group significantlyextend survival time in mice (P<0.01), compared with the Western medicine Group, theChinese medicines group, the combining Chinese and Western medicine group thatsignificantly extend the lifetime of mice (P<0.01).3. compared with the model group, the group of Chinese medicine group, the Westernmedicine group, the combining Chinese and the Western medicine Group weresignificantly reduced tumor size in mice (P<0.01), compared with the Westernmedicine Group, the combining Chinese and Western medicines group havesignificantly reduced tumor size in mice (P<0.05).4.compared with the model group, the each group of white blood cell count in micehave significantly different (P<0.01), and the Western medicine Group of the whiteblood cell count in mice significantly reduced (P<0.01), compared with the Westernmedicine Group, the Chinese medicines Group, the combining Chinese and Westernmedicines teams of leucocyte counts rebounded (P<0.01).5. compared with the model group, the Western medicine group of mice of spleenindex, decreased thymus index (P<0.05or P<0.01) and thymus index of the medicinescombining Chinese and Western medicine Group of mice had markedly elevated(P<0.05or P<0.01), compared with the Western medicine Group, the Chinesemedicine, combining the Chinese and Western medicine Group in mouse thymus indexhas rebounded significantly (P<0.01).6.compared with the model group, the combining Chinese and Western medicineGroup, the Chinese medicines Board contents of IL-2and TNF-a in mice have alsobeen increased, a statistically significant difference (P<0.05or P<0.01), compared withthe Western medicines Group, the Chinese medicines group, combining Chinese andWestern Group the IL-2, TNF-αlevels have rebounded significantly in mice (P<0.05or P<0.01).Conclusion:1.MSBW has synergeticeffect and attenuated toxic effect in combination with CTX.2. MSBW can improve the quality of life of tumor-bearing mice, extending its lifetime.3.MSBW has a potent inhibitory effect on the growth of implanted S180in mice4.MSBW elevated serum IL-2and TNF-α levels in mice with chemotherapy, peripheralwhite blood cell counts rebound increase index of thymus, spleen organ organ, protectthe immune system, reducing the immune suppression caused by chemotherapy.
