Objective:To explore the expressions of Ezrin and P53in chondrosarcoma by immunohistochemistry and discuss their roles in chondrosarcoma and progress. With these results, we wanted to discuss the relationship between clinical pathological parameters, prognosis evaluation and gene therapy.Material and MethodWe used MaxVisionTM immunohistochemistry method to detect the expressions of Ezrin and P53in42cases of chondrosarcoma,20cases of chondroma as contral, and analyzed the relationship between their expressions and clinical pathological parameters.Results1. The positive rate of Ezrin in chondrosarcoma(64.29%,27/42) was significantly higher than that of contral tissue(25%,5/20P<0.05).2. The positive rate of Ezrin in three-pathological-type chondrosarcoma was significantly difference(P<0.05):conventional chondrosarcoma60.61%(20/33),clear cell chondrosarcoma50%(1/2), dedifferentiated-chondrosarcoma85.71%(6/7).3. The positive rate of Ezrin in three-pathological-grade conventional chondrosarcoma was significantly difference(P<0.05):grade Ⅰ25%(2/8),grade Ⅱ64.29%(9/14),grade Ⅲ81.82%(9/11).4. There was no relationship between the expression of Ezrin and clinical pathological parameters(P>0.05).5. The positive rate of P53in chondrosarcoma(69.05%,29/42) was significantly higher than that of contral tissue(15%,3/20P<0.05).6. The positive rate of P53in three-pathological-type chondrosarcoma was significantly difference(P<0.05):conventional chondrosarcoma63.64%(21/33),clear cell chondrosarcoma50%(1/2), dedifferentiated-chondrosarcoma71.43%(5/7).7. The positive rate of P53in three-pathological-grade conventional chondrosarcoma was significantly difference(P<0.05):grade Ⅰ50%(4/8),grade Ⅱ57.14%(8/14),grade Ⅲ81.82%(9/11).8. There was significantly positive correlation between Ezrin and P53(P<0.05). Conclusions1.The results indicate that high Ezrin protein expression may be correlates with aggressive and metastasis of chondrosarcoma. Ezrin protein detection may be as a tool for differentiate chondrosarcoma with chondroma active proliferation It maybe become a new target for gene therapy.2.The positive rate of p53was higher in chondrosarcoma can be as a tool for differentiate chondrosarcoma with chondroma.3. The study on the relationship of Ezrin and p53may be can reveal the mechanism related to chondrosarma and progress and provide theoretical evidence for gene therapy.
