The Efficacy Of Constipation Caused By Long-team Used Of Opioids For Cancer Pain Interference By "Add Medicine Zhizhu Soup"

Objective:This study based on “Add Medicine Zhizhu soup” treatconstipation which caused by long-team used of opioids for cancer pain,and observe the effect and quality of life. Provide a reference forpopularization and application of traditional Chinese medicine treatmentof constipation caused by opioids.Method: This study adopts randomized controlled trial method, accordswith a requirement to60Sichuan combine traditional Chinese andwestern medicine hospital oncolog patients were divided intoexperimental group and control group. Experimental group oral“Add Medicine Zhizhu soup”(Raw white atractylodes rhizome30g,Astragalus30g, Immature Bitter Orange15g, Radix paeoniae Alba20g),one dose a day. Each dose would with warm water soak for30minutesbefore the boiling, decoct juice450ml, taking three times, each150ml,drinking it1hour after dinner. Control group oral Mosapride with warmwater after eating, three times a day and5mg each time. Both groupswere treated for four weeks. During the treatment process, continuedto take opioids and prohibit taking medicine to cures constipation. Thechanges in Defecation scores(ss), karnofsky performance scale(KPS),Numerical Pain Rating Scale(NRS),SCL-90and untoward effect(Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, fatigue, etc.) were observedafter treatment.Statistics and analysis various observation indexes andconstipation curative effect, pain curative effect, life quality, anddraw conclusions from this information.Result: In the treatment of60cases,58cases eventually achieveobservation date of treatment group30cases,28cases in the controlgroup. Study done in good condition. The treatment group before andafter treatment have significant difference in Defecation scores(SS),karnofsky performance scale(KPS),Numerical Pain Rating Scale(NRS)and SCL-90(P＜0.05), and control group only have significant differencein Defecation scores(SS), karnofsky performance scale(KPS) and SCL-90(P＜0.05).The Numerical Pain Rating Scale(NRS) in control groupbefore and after treatment without significant difference(P＞0.05). Theresult shows that two groups of treatment methods for opioidsconstipation has good curative effect, the quality of life and mental healthhas improved. The treatment group have some pain relief but thecontrol group haven’t. The treatment group effective rate was93.3%foropioid constipation and apparently higher than control group effectiverate71.4%, data have statistically significant(P＜0.05). The treatmentgroup effective rate was83.3%for pain relief, also is better than57.1%inthe control group, data have statistically significant(P＜0.05). KPS scoreafter treatment in both groups were improved and earlier was statistically significant (P <0.05). Two groups of patients in the treatment process hasnot been a correlation between drugs and adverse reactions and illustratesthe treatment is safe.Conclusion:“Add Medicine Zhizhu soup” treatment of opioidconstipation had a very good therapeutic effect. Can effectively relievethe clinical symptoms of opioid constipation, and improved the patientsquality of life, also have certain curative effect on pain relief, and noadverse reactions occurred during the treatment. This topic designed bytreatment is safe and effective treatment.
