| Objective:To evaluate the clinical diagnosis, treatment characteristics ofprimary retroperitoneal paraganglioma.Methods: The data of3cases primaryretroperitoneal paraganglioma in our hospital were retrospectivelyanalyzed.There were1male and2females and mean age was52.6±15.04years.All of cases had obvious symptoms of high blood pressure (140-230/90-170MMHG blood pressure).Results:3cases were underwent surgery treatment andwere resected the tumors completely.2cases for single tumors were located inthe left side of the renal hilum retroperitoneal aorta,1case of bilateral tumor,one on the left side of the multiple, in the upper and lower pole on one plane ofthe left kidney tumors. Pathological diagnosis of them wereparaganglioma.There was2cases be followed up for15-36months, and1caseof them blood pressure is normal,the other is moderately elevated bloodpressure (140-155/90-105MMHG). The re-examination CT found no tumorrecurrence. Conclusions: Retroperitoneal paraganglioma emphasizedpreoperative localization and qualitative diagnosis, sufficient preoperativepreparation and how to improve the operation skills, complete resection surgeryis the ultimate treatment. |
