Objectives:To investigate the effect of Detoxicated external wash medicine withpromoting granulation function (DMG) on refractory wound. Methods:There were30diabetic rats with refractory wounds, which averagelydivided into blank group, vaseline gauze group and DMG group. The granulation tissuesfrom the surface of wounds were taken, fixed, embedded, and cut into slices at the3rd,7th,11th,14thday. It was observed that the healing time, scar differentiation by HE stain, fibroblasts count. Results The average healing time was respectively32.1d,27.2d,22.6d for blank group,Vaseline gauze group and DMG group. There was significantly difference between threegroups (P<0.05). In these14d, there was significantly difference of scarring degreebetween three groups (P<0.05), and the proliferation of DMG group was most significantby HE stain. There was also significantly difference of fibroblasts count (P<0.05), and thedifferentiation of fibroblasts in DMG group was most significant. Conclusions:DMG could shorten healing time of wounds, promote scar proliferation, accelerate fibroblasts differentiation. DMG has more advantage for refractory woundsthan traditional cleaning wound and covering vaseline gauze.
