Objective:In this study, we set up the new parameters of recurrent laryngeal nervemonitoring to advance the accuracy of nerve monitoring technology. Background:Laryngeal nerve injury is one of the most common and severe complications ofthyroid surgery, which has troubled surgeons for a long time.Nerve monitoring is avital technique to locate recurrent laryngeal nerve during the thyroid surgery.Intraoperative nerve monitoring was detected by the new technology ofelectromyography signal changes to analyse laryngeal nerve injury and the state offunctions. It provides effective protection for surgeons to judge laryngeal nerve injuryin a timely manner. America Endocrine Surgery (AAES) has made intraoperativenerve monitoring as a guide to promote the application of thyroid operation. However, the accuracy still needs to be further improved, and clinical application is atcontroversy. Methods:Clinical data of1164patients with the thyroid operation were analyzedretrospectively. Conclusion:The amplitude and its relative value of monitoring parameters were summarized.Furthermore, the correct diagnosis rate of recurrent laryngeal nerve injured werecompared by different parameters. the relative value of amplitude could exclude theinterference of the left and right sides, the measurement location and method (various currents), age and gender. The method combined with the relative and absolute valuecan increase the detection rate of recurrent laryngeal nerve injury and evaluate itsfunction better.
