Objective:To investigate the accuracy of the MRI scan in the preoperative Tand N staging of rectal cancer. To evaluate the clinical value of MRI scan in preoperative T stagingN staging of rectal cancerMethod:The data of190cases of rectal cancer from January2013toNovember2014in our hospital were collected and analyzed, all casesunderwent MRI scan for preoperative staging. After the average3.2days(1-6days), all patients underwent the total resection of rectal cancerfollowing the TME principle. After the operation, the tumor specimenswere sent to pathology for clinical staging and lymph node stagingaccording to the AJCC standard line of colorectal cancer in2013,and theresults were compared with the preoperative MRI preoperative staging。Results:The results showed that, the postoperative pathology staging of151cases from190cases of rectal cancer were consistent with thepreoperative MRI staging, and the accuracy was79.5%. In the other39cases,36cases (92.3%) showed a higher MRI staging than postoperative pathology staging, and3cases (7.7%) showed a lower MRI staging. ForN stage, the results of39cases were not clear and were excluded. Conclusions:The accuracy of MRI scan in patients with rectal cancer to determineT stage and N stage was high.Experienced doctors reading MRI has a higher accuracy.
