Literature Research And Systematic Reviews On Property And Clinical Application Of Honeysuckle

Objective:Conduct literature research on modern literature of Honeysuckle flower. Explore the history, chemistry and pharmacological effects of Honeysuckle flower. Analyze the age distribution, journal distribution, and research institutions and scholars distribution of the clinical application of honeysuckle flower in recent years. Compare the difference between Lonicera confusa flower and Honeysuckle flower in origin, properties, composition, efficacy and fingerprint. Systematic reviewed the clinical efficacy of two clinical common-used formulas:"Yinqiaosan", which plus or minus several drug, and "Xian Fang Huo Ming Yin", respectively to H1N1and perianal abscess after operation.Methods:With the "China national knowledge database","Wan-fang articles database" and "VIP Chinese scientific and technical journals database" as the original data source bibliometric methods are used to analyze domestic modern literature of honeysuckle from the following aspect attempting to explore the status and trends of domestic research on honeysuckle:the context of the knowledge; the type of the theme; and journal, age, scholars distribution situation. Meta-analysis of the evidence-based medicine are used to develop search strategies and inclusion criteria as well as evaluate the methodological quality for Yinqiaosan treating H1N1, Xian Fang Huo Ming Yin treating perianal abscess after operation randomized controlled trials,and conduct the Meta-analysis of clinical efficacy.Results:Collected journals during1998-2014in the field of Chinese medicine as the whole is on the rise, research related to honeysuckle clinical application, reflex a slight fluctuations. Honeysuckle’s clinical applications include the following aspects:Pulmonary disease, surgical carbuncles, cold warm swollen, hot sera dysentery and rheumatic paralysis, commonly used in sore throat, mouth ulcers, foot blisters, Hp related peptic ulcer, acne chronic prostatitis and syphilis and other diseases. The studied literature distributed in267different journals. Among the research institutions in China academy of traditional Chinese medicine, Chengdu University of traditional Chinese medicine in the forefront. The overall clinical efficacy and viral clearance time are compared, the effect of Yinqiaosan intervene therapy group is superior to control group of alone treat measures in overall clinical efficacy and wound healing time. Moreover Xian Fang Huo Ming Yin intervention is better than the control group of other treat measures.Conclusion:The published research literature related to clinical application of honeysuckle is numerous and its related research shows a growing trend. However, the research institutions, academics are dispersed, and it is difficult to form a core research group. The author conducted a preliminary analysis of Modern literature during1998-2014, in the aspect of era, journals, and the topic type, hope to provide a reference for clinical application status of honeysuckle. In overall clinical efficacy, Yinqiaosan treating H1N1, Xian Fang Yin treating perianal abscess after operation are more effective than other interventions group. And there is no significant adverse reactions reported yet. But because of the quantities of trials included is limited, there is some defects in the research methodology,and the evidence is not much forceful. High-quality, large multi-center designed, randomized controlled trials are therefore required.
