Cinical Study On Radiotherapy Jiedu Decoction In Treating Oral Mucosa Reaction That Caused By Radiotherapy Of NPC

Objective:To observe the prevention and treatment effect of radiotherapy jiedu decoction on oral mucosa reaction that caused by radiotherapy of NPC.Methods:62cases of NPC which were need treated with radiotherapy and Visited to The affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of T C M from August2012to December2013. They all Conformed to the standard and were divided into the treatment group and the contrast group randomly, All patients with radiation therapy and dose basic same, are the radical radiotherapy. A week prior to the treatment group in radiotherapy jiedu decoction until2weeks after completion of radiotherapy, while contrast group was only treated with radiotherapy. When in oral mucosa reaction, telling them to use mouthwash(0.9%normal saline500ml+dexamethasone20mg+Lidocaine20ml+gentamicinl6million U+Vitamin B122mg) mouthwash during every Morning, midday and evening. Antibiotics and pain relief and other symptomatic treatment when necessary. Evaluating the effectiveness of radiotherapy jiedu decoction and security.Results:(1) Cases in the two groups in age, gender, pathological type, tumor staging and radiotherapy on the KPS score before had no statistical difference (P>0.05), They are comparable.(2) The treatment group in oral mucosa reaction significantly slower than the control group (P<0.05).(3) The treatment group oral mucosa reaction tolerance dose is higher than the control group (P<0.05).(4) Radiation at the weekend,3,6,the treatment group oral mucosa reaction degree is lighter than the control group (P<0.05).(5) The treatment group after radiation therapy of traditional Chinese medicine symptom score lower than the control group (P<0.05).(6) The treatment group curative effect is better than that of control group in terms of oral mucosa reaction back (P<0.05).(7) Two groups of cases in the liver and kidney function, heart function after radiotherapy effects difference was no obvious difference (P>0.05). Two groups are smooth completion of radiotherapy.Conclusion:Radiotherapy jiedu decoction to prevention and treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy caused by oral mucosa reaction, can increase the body’s tolerance to radiation, effectively delay oral mucosa reaction in time, reducing the level of patients with oral mucosa reaction to improve TCM symptoms in radiotherapy, promote the restoration of oral mucosa reaction, and improve the quality of life of patients. In the study did not find the solution has obvious adverse reactions and side effects. This research results show that:in the prevention and treatment of oral mucosa reaction caused by nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy, radiotherapy jiedu decoction is safe and effective.
