ObjectiveTo study the early diagnosis and treatment of acute pulmonary embolism after gastric cancer surgery.Methods21cases of suspected acute pulmonary embolism in1107cases after gastric cancer surgery were analyzed retrospectively,12cases were confirmed by CT pulmonary angiography(CTPA).The clinical manifestations, laboratory indexes and imaging data were analyzed. The experience of diagnosis and treatment of acute pulmonary embolism of postoperative gastric cancer were summarized. Results:According to the clinical manifestations, laboratory indexes and imaging data,21 cases were suspected acute pulmonary embolism after gastric cancer surgery in1107cases.12cases were confirmed and9cases were excluded by CTPA.The age of the12cases was24~74years old(average62±13.6),and9cases(75%) were diagnosed with acute pulmonary embolism in3days after surgery.The12cases with low-molecular-weight heparin(LMWH), warfarin anticoagulation were recovered after discharge, no anticoagulant related complications, no deaths.ConclusionsChest discomfort with shortness of breath or oxygen desaturation was the first clinical manifestations of acute pulmonary embolism after gastric cancer surgery. Suspected cases should be confirmed by CTPA as soon as possible.Once the diagnosis was established, patients need to stay in bed for a week, accept LMWH anticoagulation in perioperative treatment, and oral warfarin anticoagulation for six months.
