Objective To study the serum levels of growth differentiation factor15(GDF-15) expressed in patients with non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(NSTEMI) and normal, the correlation between serum levels of GDF-15and left ventricular remodeling in patients with NSTEMI in one year.Methods96patients with NSTEMI as an experiment group and Eighty individuals with the same period of examination as a control group,Collecting clinical data, serum levels of GDF-15were measured by enzyme linked immuno sorbent assay. The left ventricular remodeling was assessed by echocardiographic within96hours after admission and follow-up at the end(12months),measuring left ventricular end diastolic volume(LVEDV), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). Analysis the serum levels of GDF-15expression in two groups, and its relationship with left ventricular remodeling and other indicators of relevance. Results The serum levels of GDF-15in NSTEMI group higher than control group (P<0.01);The serum levels of GDF-15have positive correlation with NT-proBNP (r=0.052, P<0.05), CK-MB (r=0.601, P<0.05), CTnI (r=0.627, P<0.05), hsCRP (r=0.604, P<0.05); negative correlation with LVEF (r=-0.040,P<0.05)。Multiplevariate Logistic Analysis, controlling for age, cardiovascular risk factors and other biochemical parameters, the serum levels of GDF-15and LVEDV still showed a positive correlation (OR1.008,95% CI1.003-12.3, P=0.001).ROC analysis for GDF-15showed an eara under curve of0.847(95CI interval0.733-0.690).An optimized cutoff point of1048.5pg/ml showed92.9%sensitivity and56.6%specificity,Conclusions The serum levels of GDF-15highly expressed in patients with NSTEMI. The serum levels of GDF-15is closely related to left ventricular remodeling in the patients with NSTEMI in one year, suggesting that GDF-15may be an effective indicator for predicting left ventricular remodeling in patients with NSTEMI in one year.
